Not the usual Hampton standard ~ + We were there for World Cup USA game. It's a decent enough location and we are Diamond Members. We've stayed at a number of Hamptons. This one was so, so. It was outdated and carpet seemed dirty but probably just old. Room was small, although bed was comfortable. Breakfast was the usual, but they had the same sausage two days in a row, not customary, but they did have bacon on the third morning. The front desk people were very nonchalant, and the worst was the valet. They would just disappear with the keys and we would have to hunt them down. The last morning, we ordered the car, waited a bit, then went on down. They had lost the ticket but didn't let us know. David told them what car, and it took forever to get it. If they had let us know instead of waiting 15 to 20 minutes before we finally went down, then they could have found it sooner. We were headed for Sacramento and Mt. Shasta. It caused us to get there later than we wanted and again, valet …

Other than the issue with the fridge, the stay was actually very nice. I would just recommend they view and edit for thi + The staff was very nice. Loved the idea that they had valet in front to let you know when your car arrived especially because of the homeless population in front of the hotel. On 4th of July they kept the rooftop open late for fireworks. − When I reserved the hotel online it stated that there was a fridge in the room. Upon checking into the room we realized the small room they put us in did not have a fridge. We needed the fridge to store my husband’s insulin. They informed us that we would have to pay almost $75 more for a room with a fridge.

Worse Hampton experience + I want start off saying the staff was very helpful and very kind. My low review is based off of everything else. The only thing comfortable about my room was the bed. The phones in my room did not work so every time I needed something I had tk walk to the lobby to ask for it. Also, the heater was broken so that was really fun. To end things on a worse note the cockroaches at the breakfast was pretty gross.

Honestly just pay more to stay somewhere else if you can + Dangerous area, so we ubered often despite being close to the convention center because many threatening individuals skulking around at night. Hard to get peaceful sleep due to lots of screaming in the streets throughout day and night, thin walls. Day 1 after checkin I looked outside the window to see a man pooping on the sidewalk, wipe himself with tissue paper, then leave. Room was decently clean, can’t say anything about valet since we didn’t use it. Free breakfast always a plus. Just seems expensive for having to spend a premium being close to the convention center but feeling so unsafe walking around at night. Oh and charged me $25 more for the security deposit which I had to contact my credit card company about :)

Had a good time, excepted the bedbugs! + Convenient to Downton/Chinatown, within 2miles walking distance. − BEDBUGS. When I walked into the hotel, I was clean and pretty. When I walked out of the hotel, my neck and arm were swollen with bites from the bedbugs. I have complained to the hotel a couple of times about that. So far, no one has contacted me yet.

Good, would stay there again + Good and clean − Rooms could be bigger and the building surrounding could be better (but it’s city’s fault that there are so many homeless people…)

Nice hotel, comfortable beds. + The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were nice. We stayed here because we had an event on at the convention center. It was nice and close just a short walk to the convention center. − The breakfast was not great. Ther were a lot of homeless around. This was in no fault of the hotel and in fact, I thought the hotel dealt with this issue well, locking the doors so you needed to swipe in just to enter the property. The only issue there is when you arrive, we couldn't get in, and it took the staff quite a while to realise and let us in the front doors.
