Very pleasant and comfortable country hotel. Would definitely recommend + The breakfast was excellent. Extensive choice very high standard. All the staff were extremely friendly, helpful and obliging. Comfortable bed and very modern bathroom. − We were on the second floor so quite a lot of stairs. A lift would have been nice but probably not a feasible option for the building.

+ The check in was quick & easy, staff were extremely friendly. The food was really lovely too. The location was beautiful and plenty of seating in the gardens. Had a lovely 2 day stay. − Nothing to dislike really. There was a wedding taking place the weekend we stayed so not much room in the car park, but to bd expected, not really a negative.

+ Very convenient for Whit Friday. Mostly very good service. Kindly pbonecall in advance of the event very helpful. Good menu. Overall enjoyed our stay and would stay again. − A bit busy at times. and a few of the junior staff need a bit of customer service training. Could do with a chair ir two in the room. Wedding guests were a bit annoying.

Lovely area and good accommodation + We loved where it was situated and the pub close by. It was tastefully furnished, and the beds were comfortable. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced − The door would not lock, and the bathroom floor could have been cleaner.

Enjoyed my stay because the staff were so lovely and welcoming. + The location is great for a trip to Saddleworth , the staff are amazing. Lovely people! The hotel room I was in apart from the bathroom which had been renovated , needed a facelift,as it was a tad dated. I’ve stayed there a few times as I used to live in the area and I would go back definitely but do think it needs a bit of money spending on the rooms. A fridge in the room may be an asset as well in the hot weather? − No dislikes just a few suggestions

Great but avoid room 6 + Great food and atmosphere − Room 6 overlooking the kitchen and waste bins. Ventilation fans ran all night!
