+ Location is amazing! Very quiet, no tourists, own beach, rooms directly overlooking the water. Omar greeted us upon arrival and was very helpful, always making sure we had everything we needed! Miguel was the MVP of our trip!! He went out of his way to be sure we were taken care of, spoke and understood English, served us snacks and drinks by the pool. Pool warm and clean, nice loungers on the beach and poolside. Between ocean breeze and fan we never had to use the ac. We loved it at Ventanas!

+ Loved area. No coffee til 8. Had to make a reservation time to eat and place our order and our order came out wrong, but it was beautiful wonderful quiet and relatively empty right on top of the ocean.

Solid choice away from the buzz + My wife and I stayed in room 22 for three nights. We were generally pleased with our decision to stay here. This is a place to get away from the crowds. But not to be pampered. Some guests will love this. If your idea of a vacation is to be pampered, this may not be the place for you. Since this is the remote side of the island, most know this already. Pros: The atmosphere is very chill. "adult only" helps with that. The friendly staff always aimed to please. The sandy beach delivers nice ocean to swim in when the winds die down. The restaurant has a nice menu and can be very good. Also very pretty in the evenings and felt comfortable. Views from our room were hard to beat. Room was clean. Pool was clean and pleasant. Cons: Rooms are very basic. Bathroom small and basic. The small pool can get crowded if everyone came at the same time. No bathroom in the common area. If we needed one, we had to return two flights to our room U…

Breathtaking view of the ocean from every room! + If my wife and I could give this place a 5+ stars we would! We found this hidden gem the last time we visited and looked it up. We decided to try it because it was so remote and we wanted to unplug. It is the only hotel on the non commercial side of the island. It is run on a generator because there is no power to that side(the east side of the island). Miguel, Omar and Manuel were excellent as well as the rest of the staff that we did not get their names but were very friendly and took care of all our needs. We have stayed in other hotels on the other side and for us this does not even compare. With all that said, if you are looking for a 5 star luxury experience this may not be the place for you. If you are looking for a small quaint place with others that are looking for quiet relaxing atmosphere with staff that become like family then this is the place for you! NEVER ENOUGH + 17 years since our first stay, we still can’t find the words to describe Ventanasalmar. It’s just never enough. You’ve got to experience it for yourself. 15 days in the “Tree House”……and every second of it superb and unique. The “surprises” up there are keepsake memories. Try it sometime, you’ll see! Miguel, Cynthia,Moy and the entire staff amazing. We’ve developed such a bond with them over time and truly think of them as great friends. Ownership has done a remarkable job with subtle changes that only enhance the experience more. Nicole is doing a phenomenal job with daily operations. All we know is, there’s no place we’d rather be. + I really love this place. Even though is in the other side of the island, the peaceful atmosphere, the sound of the ocean and the stars in the night sky makes it a great place to stay.

+ The view was amazing. But the room lacked certain comforts and cleanliness for the price. No tv, no fridge, dirty bathroom and shower. The power also went out multiple times during our stay. We also had no air conditoning until after 9pm. When you pay thar much for a room you should be able to have AC on demand. And with the power outage, we didnt have any AC until like 11pm. They also were going to make us pay for bottled water, and my aunt complained so we didnt have to pay. No other hotel i have stayed at in cozumel made us pay for water and was always give as complimentary. Staff was great. Food was great. Bike rentals were good. Scenery good. Pool was nice. Hotel room, unclean, lacking in certain comforts you would expect for a $300 per night room. Not sure i would reccomend staying here. Although beautiful, price is too high for what you get.

Beautiful Views and Beautiful Hotel + Beautiful views of the ocean right from your room. The food here is also delicious. I had the coconut shrimp and it was a 10/10. Overall stay was amazing, hotel staff was friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be staying here again, cannot wait to return!

+ First night they were having a wedding and was told we couldn’t eat there.We had to go into town to eat. We had to leave the last night because they were going to shut down because of construction. Was told we would be reimbursed but it hasn’t happened yet
