Wonderful stay + A lovely welcome from Anne on arrival.Stunning property with beautiful grounds you can enjoy. Feeding the alpacas was a bonus, they are very friendly. My room was beautifully decorated and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was plentiful and served in the stylish dining room. Location was a good choice for visiting Hamilton Gardens − Everything was excellent, nothing I didn’t like.

Great weekend away with friends. + Beautiful building and a wonderful garden. Cute alpacas which we feed in the morning after a great breakfast together with other guests in the dinning room. Nice looking pool, I regret not having time to go for a dip. Adorable tea set in the bedroom from wich we could make our own pots of tea. Very friendly owners, felt like a home away from home. Great place to spend the weekend with the girls. − The was a road closure which made it difficult to get to and from the city.

+ We really loved our stay. Feeding the alpacas were a highlight especially the new baby, such characters! We loved exploring the beautiful grounds with the autumn colours. The hosts were lovely and breakfast was great. Wish we could have stayed longer! − We could only stay 1 night

We absolutely enjoyed our stay, and will certainly stay here again when in Hamilton. + This was an experience, rather than a stay in a motel/hotel. The rambling gardens were a delight and the accommodation and hospitality made us feel we were in a large family home. Breakfast was delicious and made more special by Anne the host joining us each morning. The birdsong at dusk was unforgettable. We have told all our friends about our stay. It is most unusual to find accommodation that becomes a highlight of a visit. − Our only regret is that we were not there during the spring to see the garden at its most spectacular. Maybe next year.

The accommodation was more expensive than expected for the facilities provided. A fridge in the room would have been app + It was close to where we were going each day − Shower was loud opening and closing door. The fridge was on the outside of the room. You could hear everything happening down stairs and was hard to sleep. Host wasn’t very welcoming. Items were Taken from the fridge eg 2L milk we brought for our breakfast. Jacuzzi wasn’t functioning. $240 was way over priced for what we got.
