+ 不便なところにあり、料金はかなりしますが、料金に見合った時間が過ごせると思います。早めに行って、館内をゆっくり過ごすのが良いと思います。いろいろなアクティビティやサービスも用意されていて、追加料金が必要ないものもたくさんあります。日本から行かれる方で、食事付きでないプランを予約された方は、夜は徒歩15分くらいのところに原住民料理店もあり、受付でデリバリーを頼むこともできます。

A perfect celebration experience + Carlton treated us like gold from when we first arrived until the end 4 days later. The hotel is beautiful and rooms are so spacious. We had the 2 story with private Onsen facing the mountains. The food was so good, we almost stayed another day! Breakfast, lunch and dinner was delicious and felt like a gourmet meal each time. (If you like Japanese food) We did a couples massage and had a nice room. During my massage, I asked for harder pressure. It was still very light and I felt like she was new and just needed more training. When we were done we were asked how we like the massage? I gave my honest feedback and they apologized and said she was new and would go back to training. They scheduled another session for me immediately the next day complimentary. The next day was perfect and I tried to give Chole a tip but she refused it and she just wanted everything to be perfect for us. On our Anniversary, Carlton prepared a surprise for us. After dinn…

Highly recommend this beautiful property for relaxation and fine dining. + My mother and I had an incredible experience at Hoshinoya Guguan in October 2024. Our experience with this property alone is enough for us to visit Taiwan again. This property is a luxury property and expensive by local standards but comparable to a Primland or a Four Seasons property. We are USA based and thus view the prices and value based on our value proposition. Hoshinoya Guguan is an all-inclusive property in the mountains of central/eastern Taiwan. The closest airport is Taichung. The property can also be reached by flying into Taoyuan Airport, taking a train to Taoyuan (the opposite direction from Taipei City), and then taking a high-speed rail into Taichung. Then, I recommend a private car to the property. Or you could book a private car for the airport transfer. As a first-time visitor to Taiwan, I did this incorrectly and added at least 3 hours to our journey from the airport to Hoshinoya Gugua…

World-class Hotel + I've had my fair share of luxury hotels...six senses, rosewood, aman resorts. But Hoshinoya didn't come across my radar until my family and I booked a trip to Taiwan. Its been well over a month since our stay here...and I am still in awe of the beauty and quality of this hotel. We had three nights here with our 16 month old daughter in February and it was one of the highlights of our asia trip. I loved my mornings with my toddler in our japanese soaking tub, taking in the incredible mountain views. I read a few reviews that complained about the cleaning of the onsens and timing of the meals. Yes this is inconvenient, but I believe the hotel has incredibly high standards for cleanliness and quality, so we didn't mind at all having set meals times etc. The restaurant at the hotel is STUNNING overlooking their incredible gardens and the food is of the highest caliber. + 一级棒的酒店。餐特别好吃，早饭，晚饭，会席，房间点餐，都非常好。餐太好了！房间也很好，宽敞，私汤也非常棒。酒店员工服务也很好。几点不足：1）房间内的榻榻米有一个二十厘米的高度，拌了我一个跟头，腿摔青了。2）酒店没有正规的洗衣服务，但服务员可以帮助拿去洗，也不要钱，但我还是有点奇怪这么高级的酒店居然没有洗衣服务。3）酒店的地点确实比较偏僻，周围基本没什么东西，驾车到基本比较热闹的地方，要一个小时。不过这个见仁见智吧。总之，这是一个非常好的酒店，绝对值得。
