Great place, great valie + It had everything you need for a place near Machu Picchu. Lovely staff, easy to get the bus to Machu Picchu. They met as at the station to walk us to the hotel and came to the station with our bags so we could go straight from Machu Picchu onto the train. Gloty was fantastic.

Accept guests during a general cleaning and cosmetic renovation + This place might be fine during peak season, but I was shocked during my stay and was forced to move out. The hotel was undergoing a general cleaning and cosmetic renovation, and the courtyard is shared. Work was underway on floors 1 through 3, and I was put on the 4th floor. There was no hot water in the sink, and it wasn't even provided, it was told that it was normal. The hot water in the shower was a bit warm. The WiFi didn't work, it just said "no internet" when I connected. The room was cold and damp. The kitchen was being renovated. When I asked why they were even accepting guests, I was assured that this is how it is everywhere now and that every hotel is being renovated (spoiler alert: they aren't), that I chose a cheap hotel and should have taken a 5-star for $300, and that if I didn't like it, I could go to another hotel and get a refund. Retama hotel, fantastic stay + We had asked the hotel to have someone meet us at the Aguas Caliente train station. "Cloty" was there with our names on a sign waiting for us around 2pm on a Saturday. When we told her we needed to buy tickets for Machu Picchu she said follow me and started running, we followed right behind her to the Ministry of Culture where there was a long line. She was able to facilitate our purchase of 2 tickets for Monday within 15 minutes of our arrival. What a rock star!! Cloty was also very helpful with our many questions over the next few days. The hotel was located beside the river away from the loud part of town near the pathway to the hotsprings. We had very peaceful nights sleep the entire time. Breakfast in the morning had many options and they were fast in making eggs to order. The wifi was strong in our room and in the lobby. I would absolutely stay here again!

Tired and noisy + The hotel was very noisy. We stayed in rooms that faced out to reception, but on the first floor. A group came in at 3.40 am and we're really noisy and nothing was done to stop them. Breakfast was average at best. The hotel is really tired. Plus side, I think bots in a good location and the staff were polite and friendly. Did for a one night pit stop though.

Hotel con encanto y habitaciones junto al río + Hotel muy próximo a lugares de interés mercado de artesanía, estación de tren desde Ollantaytambo, parada bus hacia la Ciudadela. Habitaciones junto al río, camas muy cómodas, todo limpio, personal muy atento. Guardan el equipaje. − Estaría genial un desayuno más variado

Bon hôtel très bien situé. + Hôtel neuf et très propre. Localisation parfaite pour le départ de la navette pour le site du Machu Picchu ! Petit-déjeuner correct (je précise qu'il était 5h30 du matin et que le petit-déjeuner était déjà ouvert !). Personnel sympathique et arrangeant. Nous ne sommes restés qu'1 nuit (pas besoin de plus, il n'y a rien à faire à Aguas Calientes mis à part le Machu Picchu!). Pas de soucis d'eau chaude. − Aucune insonorisation, pas gênant pour nous car nous sommes partis à 6h du matin (nous avons pu laisser nos bagages pendant la visite du Machu Picchu)
