Great value for money rooms in a perfect spot for the waitomo caves + Clean comfortable and great value and location for the caves, with very friendly and helpful owners - who cook a mean curry for supper !

Welcoming, comfortable and galactic! + The hospitality and welcome. The owners, Munci and Kunal, were so accommodating. We arrived late and they prepared us wonderful (pre-ordered) curries. They gave us some advice for our travels around NZ and made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was simple but with plenty of choice. Only 5 minutes from the Caves. For me, what I’ll remember most about this, apart from the hospitality, was the view of the Milky Way! − Nothing.

prima verblijf bij hele vriendelijke gastvrouw en gastheer + Hele vriendelijke ontvangst en lekker ontbijt. De plek is super, vlakbij de Waitomo grotten. Tegen betaling kun je ook een diner gebruiken. Wij hebben op loopafstand bij een restaurant gegeten.

Our Stay was nice and Beds are comfortable. − Can suggest if possible to put microwave to the room it self . And some Plates and spoon , pork and knife .and place to wash our Dishes. Can I suggest also a little bit bigger Table to eat .

+ I had a wonderful stay at Waitomo Caves Guest Lodge and couldn't recommend it more highly. The lodge is lovely, comfortable and very well located for exploring Waitomo, but what really made my stay special was the kindness and hospitality of the hosts. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to help me organise transport and make the most of my time in the area, which I particularly appreciated as I was travelling without a car. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, and everything felt welcoming and very well cared for. I genuinely felt looked after throughout my stay.

This place is adequate but in my opinion nowhere near 4 star standard − Bed was soft and unsupportive. Bathroom vanity is tiny.

Perfect place for an overnight stay after visiting the Waitomo caves experience + Able to relax immediately and the hosts cooked us a great dinner. − Difficult to find in the dark

Lovely place to stay during your cave adventures + Very friendly and helpful hosts and a charming environment of small houses/cabins hidden among vegetation. My cozy cabin (number 6) was a standalone, so it was very quiet - I enjoyed listening to the birdsong in the nearby trees! Good heating for the winter time, and although the bathroom was compact, the shower was nice and spacious and had good water pressure. Perfect location if you want to visit caves, with multiple destinations within walking distance, and let's face it, why else would you go to Waitomo! 😄 I appreciated the option for a curry for dinner, since there aren't that many restaurants around and open in the low season. − My cabin was rather sparsely furnished; I would've liked to have a luggage rack or somewhere other than the floor to keep my bag. The bathroom had the tiniest sink, making it a challenge to get water for making tea. Breakfast was quite limited (although to be fair, this is made clear in the description)…

not value for the money + the location is very near to the attraction place, this is the only selling point − it is not value for the money, the facilities is not really worth for i pay for since there are better option nearby
