Improved back to 5 star + The Excellence has worked hard in past year to overcome some issues, from 2025. Staff was kind, professional, well trained and very friendly. Good to see all of the best back in their roles. this was the best 14 day vacation of the past 6 years.

Anniversary + A little pricey up front, but once you get there you can see why. Excellent food, accommodating staff, easy transport to and from. Dining is stress free. finding spots at the beach or pool is easy.

Amazing birthday trip- enjoyed every second! + Had an incredible stay this past January to celebrate my 50th birthday with a group of close friends, and it truly turned into one of the most memorable trips of my life. I actually plan incentive trips for work and have researched hundreds of all-inclusive resorts over the years- and I can honestly say this one is hard to match. There were 11 of us in total, and every single person thoroughly enjoyed their stay. After spending a lot of time researching and planning where to celebrate, your resort exceeded every expectation we had. The Imperial Suite with the private pool was definitely a splurge for us, but it was worth every moment. The space was beautiful, the amenities were fantastic, and it quickly became the heart of our celebration. We spent so much time there laughing, relaxing, and making unforgettable memories together. Fantastic Family Trip! + We booked 9 nights on the recommendation of friends and were not disappointed. This resort has something for everyone and is absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed most of the entertainment and events, the gym, the restaurants, the coffee shop, the bars and all of the spots as most people have outlined in reviews on this platform. We absolutely loved the Entertainment team with special mention to: Natalia, Gabriel, Kevin, Angel, Alejandro, Alesandra (the baby), who made all the activities so fun. Also loved our sunrise Yoga and Pilates with Tanya. Favourite drinks were from Cesar at Martini bar because he used enough alcohol to make the drinks taste good. Favourite meals were at Grill, Oregano (delicious blackened chicken sandwich and salmon filet) and Spice (sushi was amazing, Tepanyaki was okay too). excellence playa mujeres + this place costs too much, lots of other resorts we visited were alot cheaper and better quality and had more restaurants to choose from and more buffets, this one only had one for breakfast, the other resorts have one for breakfast, one for lunch and 2 for dinner, plus other resorts bring in a flea market, this place is over rated for the high price it costs to stay here.

Wonderful staff in a great location! + Playa Mujeres was gorgeous! Meticulously clean beach and pools, attentive wait staff and concierge, and incredible weather. We were so blessed to have Jesus be our concierge both by the pool and on the beach. Anything we needed, he let someone know or got it for us himself! He gave great recommendations and was incredibly entertaining to chat with. Floricel was our waited on us by the beach. His upbeat nature and party attitude and us all having a great time! On the days Jesus wasn’t down by the beach, we were equally well taken care of by Edgar! He has the most joyful smile and kind energy. He could turn any frown upside down! Rubi was our wonderful waitress on these days. She was quick, attentive and knew how to get you what you needed while you relaxed. Our rooms were stunning and meticulously cleaned daily! Great time away + The location is great. Beach is very accessible and not crowded. There are a lot of pool options so you have options! The restaurants were ok. The Asian restaurant was the best and the bartenders are really good. TripGuy.com did a great job of booking everything so you didnt have to lift a finger on your vacation or leading up to it.

4th time at EPM + Still love this place, BUT there are some changes I'm not a huge fan of, but definitely first world problems. We first stayed here in 2016 for our 10 year anniversary and were blown away by the service, the quality of food, and the 'feel'. It felt like a sanctuary for relaxation and pampering that included amazing dining options, whenever you wanted. Staying this time for our 20th anniversary, we noticed small changes since 2016 that slightly lowered the quality. There is no longer an option for a lunch buffet. The Kitchen Table only does a breakfast buffet (which was very good) but converts to a la carte for lunch. We found lunch at the Kitchen Table was terrible. Terrible options, terrible quality. I ordered the chicken sandwich and the chicken covered maybe half of the bun. Clearly EPM is making efforts to cut costs and increase profit. Also, the last 3 times we stayed, staff would go throughout the swim out area and clean the deck areas of towels and drink cups. …

Loyalty is a one way street + We have stayed at Excellence properties for our last several vacations so I would guess you could say we are loyal customers. The Excellence properties are beautiful, well-kept and the staff is friendly and hard working. We had an issue with our trip this past February that I would like to share. No fault of Excellence but due to weather issues our flight to Cancun was cancelled not once but twice. It forced us to leave one day late for our vacation. As soon as our flight was cancelled we contacted the hotel to let them know. Upon arrival I enquired if the hotel could extend our stay an extra day to make up for the day we lost. They did not offer a refund for the day we lost (which is not what I even asked for or expected). They said they would have to charge us $1050 if we wanted to stay an extra day. Important to note that the hotel was not nearly full the day we lost or the extra day we were asking for. After discussing this with two different desk p…

EPM in early March + We have been coming back every year to EPM since 2019 and what brings us back is just the welcoming atmosphere and the excellent service and friendliness of the resort staff. Early March is the right time to go since the weather ranges between 75-85 with little humidity and the sargassum is not an issue. Location: EPM has the benefit of a wide footprint so there are plenty of room on the beach and off-the beach. You never really feel crowded in unlike other resorts. This particular week, the resort was at 50-60% occupancy most likely due to media coverage of the violence in Puerto Vallarta. Cleanliness: rooms are cleaned daily, resort property (walkways, buildings, pools, beach areas) and all landscape are well maintained. Rooms: The negative is the poor lighting and small mirrors in the bathroom. We heard that they were updating them but the building we were in is not scheduled for an update till July. Wait Staff - Above and Beyond + My wife and I came here for our honeymoon and have had amazing service from every place we have been to and anything we wanted/needed was brought to us. Some of the people that made our Wednesday at the resort so enjoyable were in the following locations. These people we watched work so tirelessly at their job and be attentive to everyone in their area. Lucy - Poolside Kevin - The Grill Jorge - Kitchen Table Jorge was initially our waiter for breakfast and another guy took over, we loved having Jorge each morning.

Excellence Playa Mujeres Fantastico + We had the most amazing time!! The people who work for Excellence are top-notch! We must mention Jesus at the Excellence Club Beach. He made our day and was so attentive taking care of all our needs. Floricel kept a cold drink in our hand the entire time we were at the beach and he was so fun! Josue taught us some Spanish sign language and cleared a spot for us at the beach when needed. He worked so hard clearing towels and making the beach space look great. Arturo at the omelette station at The Kitchen Table buffet was so smiley and made the BEST breakfast. And Josue at the Building 9 Excellence Club pool was so kind and a joy to visit with. Our room was great. The grounds were perfect. We will definitely be back!!!

Visit 15 and Excellence is Still Wonderful + We visited Excellence Playa Mujeres in November. This was our 15th visit to EPM and our 27th to an Excellence Resort. We are big fans of EPM because of the people who work there. We have come to think of them as family. We were so happy to see Jacqueline, the Guest Services Manager, when we arrived. She always makes our visits so special. She and her concierge staff go out of their way to take excellent care of all their guests. We were in Building 8 overlooking the ocean and EC pool. This was not one of the rooms that had been refurbished but it was in good condition. Housekeeping does a wonderful job of maintaining the rooms and cleaning daily. We spend our days at the beach and love the beach beds they have. You do have to get up early to get one, but we love watching the sunrise at the beach. The Best of the Best!! + We have traveled to no fewer than 50 all inclusive resorts and this one is right at the top! From arrival to our departure everythin was wonderful, especially the employees. Our arival and departure bellman, Doroteo, allowed us to see the quality of the resort management, he was so friendly. The Club level staff on the beach and pool went above an beyond, Rogelio, Jesus, Edgar and especially trainee, Aldo couldn't have been any better with their service. I must recognize Gina at the French restaurant, also Antonio and Julian at the Mexican restaurant. Highly recommended + Just returned from another fabulous holiday at EPM. We have visited this hotel many times before but keep returning because it never disappoints. It has all the ingredients for a successful holiday - lovely beach, great pools, good food, fun entertainment but above all the fantastic service from the staff who work tirelessly and for whom nothing is too much trouble. I would particularly mention the Guest Services Manager, Jacqueline Zacarias, who ensures that your holiday is perfect from first to last.

Best place to visit EVER + All I can say is this place is nothing short of amazing. The service is above and Beyond, it’s clean and gorgeous. Our waiter Emanuel at the beach was top notch. We couldn’t ask for someone better. I hope he is here next year.
