− four star abbey hotel seems to think of their guests as suicidal louts, smoking in their rooms (250 Euro fine warnings everywhere ) , trying to throw themselves out of second floor windows, so now only one opens merely a hand's breadth, no matter how stuffy the room. and what annoyed me most is the bored barely friendly receptionist who would not even check if our room was ready an hour earlier but made my feverish husband sit in their lobby for an hour. The room was spacious and nicely furnished, cleanish ( dirty window with cobwebs) the view excellent, abbey ruins! slightly marred by a big gas tank, a huge parking space and an assortment of waste bins. stay there if you have to, but better if you don't!

Lovely bedroom. which meant we had a great sleep for our two night stay. Peaceful and quiet. + The expertise of the staff. Very helpful from our entrance to the breakfast room till we finished. Everything for breakfast from Porridge, fruit, juice. All types of bread. Really top class layout. Rashers sausages puddings eggs. Tea/Coffee. Hope I havent left anything out. Outstanding − There was nothing that we didn't like.
