Tabacon fue muy valioso para la visita (agradecido de poder ir después de 30 años soñando con ello!) + Nuestra familia tuvo un día maravilloso en Tabacon! Fue la primera visita a Arenal/Fortuna para mi esposo e hijo y había pasado 30 años para mí. Cuando visité el área por primera vez en mis 20s, no pude ir a Tabacon y supe que teníamos que ir cuando planeamos nuestro viaje a Costa Rica! Las bañeras y la naturaleza en Tabacon son hermosas y serenas. El personal es amable y servicial. Terminamos nuestra noche con cena en el restaurante Ave en las aguas termales de Tabacon. La comida fue inventiva y deliciosa! Nuestro camarero, Alejandro, hizo nuestra noche con sus recomendaciones, aliento para usar mi español y recursos para encontrar deliciosos postres sin lácteos:) Altamente recomiendo un viaje a Tabacon!

Possibly one of the most beautiful resorts in the world + This property is like something out of a dream or a movie set. The most beautiful gardens and natural river/pools are absolute paradise. We spent 3 nights and could've stayed longer. I will always consider this one of my most favorite resorts I've visited in the world, and I've been everywhere.

50th Birthday Celebration! + Tabacon Thermal Resort & Spa was the most beautiful resort with amazing views. We had the volcano view from our room and the rainforest view just steps away. Amazing!!!

Fantastic family vacation + We (two adults + one 15-year old) had a truly wonderful week at Tabacon. Everything exceeded our expectations. Every staff member was so friendly but professional - the customer-facing staff speak excellent English but were also happy to let us practice our (minimal) Spanish. Our room (Orchid) was lovely - it was very comfortable, immaculately clean, and the air conditioning worked very well. We weren't sure what to expect from the food because the reviews we read were mixed, but everything we ordered was just delicious, and the breakfast options were more than satisfactory (eggs/ omelets to order, plus scrambled eggs, rice and beans, and a variety of hot dishes, plus many delicious fruits, salads, and pastry options, and fresh yogurt - and really good coffee!). We really enjoyed our two dinners at Tucanes and our meals at Ave, where we mostly stuck to the "Tico Flow" dishes and were never disappointed. We were pleasantly surprised to find that a limited lu…

Excellent service and friendly staff + The overall visit was excellent. We had the best experience with Alejandro who was the server at the restaurant at the Hot Springs. Definitely come back and ask for him when you go to the restaurant.

Fair + Food was fair and pricey. View from the room was great! Hot Springs were busy and too many kids. Not enough detail was given when checking in about Adult Only Hot spring area. We didn't know what the "gardens" were that was included. It would have been nice to know that it was hot springs as well. Won't be back.

The resort of your dreams + The resort is a dream and the staff are wonderful. We loved that the thermal springs closed at 10pm. I will be coming again in the near future.

Highly recommended! + Top notch experience. We went for a day pass with dinner and it surpassed our expectations. Its so nice and aesthetic that truly captures the pura vida lifestyle. Amazing and will do it again in a heartbeat.

Tabacon is top notch! + The resort is top notch! Rooms were comfortable and had a great view of the volcano. They provided a single bed for our son. Thermal spas were great. Breakfast was fantastic. I highly recommend doing the Tico Chef experience - at the hotel. It was delicious and fun!

Relaxing, luxurious stay!! + Tabacon is a truly special place. One of the most beautiful properties we have ever stayed at. The drive is 2 hours from Liberia but the reward is well worth it. The Hot Springs are spectacular, and the hotel and grounds are equally magnificent. All of this in the shadow of a towering, perfectly symmetrical Volcano. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Wonderful and surreal! + Tabacon met ALL of our expectations and more. We loved the hotel, the hot springs, the staff, the food, and the beauty of the entire surrounding area all just felt surreal. The gym is perfect (though you don’t need it much with all of the hiking and adventures close by). Can’t recommend this place enough. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating in every way.

Magical Experience + We loved the visit to our springs and then eating at the restaurant after. Truly the most majestic hot springs I have ever soaked in, I wish I had 2 more days here. Thanks to Randall at dinner for the excellent service.

One night stay with kids + We stayed at the resort which was really nice. Pricy for what the rooms were but if you are only staying a night and can use the hot springs two days it makes sense. We also took kids so wasn't as relaxing for us as it could have been without them. The grounds are beautiful and the hot springs are incredible!

Amazing Family Vacation Hotel in Arenal + We celebrated my son's 5th birthday there and we had a blast! From the ease of the Jacamar tours, the beauty of the thermal baths or the wonderful food options on site - it was magical.

Fabulous! + We stayed here for two nights during our 10 day trip to Costa Rica, and we couldn't have been happier with our stay. The resort is beautiful, the staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the hot springs are Wonderful! We ate at the Toucan Restaurant one night and the Ave Restaurant another and both were delicious but we were even more delighted with the complimentary breakfast buffet. There were lots of families with young children which I actually enjoyed but there is an "adults only" area in the thermal springs called Shangri La for those who prefer.

Perfect Family Getaway in Paradise + Excellent experience all around! From the moment we arrived everything was organized, tranquil, and beautiful. The staff was so kind! Some of the best customer service we experienced. We were going to stay at Baldi but after a terrible experience there we were able to change our stay to Tabacon instead and I’m SO glad we did! The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay seamless and relaxing. The thermal pools were so nice, we traveled with my 2 year old son and he had a blast!! The food was excellent, the breakfast every morning was also delicious. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel! Thank you to Betty, Frank, Alex, Joshua! Yall are awesome and our stay was unforgettable 💗

Didn't want to leave! Will definitely go back + Absolutely wonderful place to stay in La Fortuna. Staff are very friendly and most speak at least passable English. Grounds are beautiful even around the rooms; the separate thermal springs area is gorgeous and spacious. And having the exclusive area for hotel guests is very nice.

Cool and Dangerous + In theory a very cool place and concept. But guys, the entry to the smaller pool next to the bar is legits going to claim the life of someone. After slipping and falling to the ground, I was thrilled not to have broken a bone. But I’m 40s, fit, and lucky. Older folks won’t stand a chance. I watched 5 other folks slip and the. Passed this note to workers. But it’s massive place, so I’m putting it here too. ‘At your own risk’ is totally cool, but this is pushing it too far. There’s a medical center at the entrance and I was so grateful not to use it. Please folks, there’s water literally everywhere. Serve pricy drinks, grab the tourist action, but let’s get everyone home safe. Before someone gets hurt or worse. Do it for the grandparents. Pura vida.
