Tiny rooms, good outdoor amenities. Nicest hotel around this area. + The outdoor fire pits and ponchos are great additions. The rooms are tiny and I’m not sure why given how much room they had to work with. Internal rooms have windows to the hallway with inadequate privacy blinds. Dining staff were excellent. Had check in issues due to bad communication at Hidalgo tours, which owns both the tour co and the hotel. Spa looks better in photos but is fine.

Amazing hotel on the Salar! + Amazing hotel! Loved it since the time we stepped into the reception. Great style and design. Lovely service. Nice spa. Large and comfy rooms. Great breakfast. Good choices for dinner! − Surely not a cheap option (rooms a bit too pricey even if low season, personally speaking), but a luxury experience indeed. Only remark: in the morning spa is open but sauna and steam room were not operating even if they told us they were.

Very unique + 😃 Amazing hotel, spacious rooms and a lovely seating area in the room overlooking the outskirts of the salt flats. One of our rooms was lovely and warm, the other less so. Lots of things to do outside - carousel, mini wheel, trampolines, drawing station, fire pits. The buffet breakfast was good and included an egg station - we'd been missing having fried eggs so we thoroughly enjoyed them. ☹️ Main part of the hotel wasn't particularly warm. We had wanted to go in the swimming pool before dinner but the water was cold, as was the spa area.

Some luxury in a salt area + Pretty amazing that such a hotel has been implemented on such a location. Feels pretty luxury in a deserted area of salt. So only positive remembrances on room, food, area, personnel etc.

+ Mattress heating! − Rooms looked older than what the pictures presented. Common areas are not heated (but seems like this is very common in Bolivia!) Indoor pool broke down (no heating, claims out of gas!). Also the showers are either extremely cold or scalding hot! No hot water running from the taps either. Restaurant dining and breakfast wasn't great. Considering the price we paid, I'm not sure this was worth it at all.

Disappointing experience that could be vastly improved + I rated it poor in the basis that this should have been a top experience. We stayed during a time of civil strife in Bolivia and I was understanding of the affect this has on access to gas etc. and so most of the hotel was cold, we relied on air conditioner to keep our room warm as the radiators turn off before we requested extra blankets. The real reason I rated this poorly was the lack of information provided about services - there is nothing at check in to explain and we had to seek everything out. The disappointing part was we had to debate with restaurant staff each meal that we had included food in our package - which they only got right on the last night and were argumentative each time. The food up until that night was tasteless. The cleaning staff, outside events and gift shop worker were friendly and considerate.

Uncomfortable stay in cold hotel! + My recent visit was with a small tour group. We arrived after sunset - it was extremely cold & windy outside & we were looking forward to being in a warm hotel. We entered into the hotel which was almost as cold as the outside!!! Staff were all wearing coats & scarves!!! When we arrived in our room - it was ice cold- the window was open & cold air blowing in!!!! We called front desk who told us the wall heater was on highest setting- what a joke!!! We requested a space heater which helped but bathroom was ice cold! The beds had electric blankets but mine wasn’t working- they replaced it & that one also didn’t work! Finally the third one worked! Breakfast was good but dinner buffet was lackluster. On our last night- the restaurant was closed & we had to eat in the sports bar which required us to walk outside to enter. It was cold in there too! Also- the pool in the spa which was supposed to be heated wasn’t (due to energy shortages). We were told t…

Beautiful Setting, but the Rooms Need an Update + Palacio de Sal is probably the most iconic hotel in Uyuni, so with its five-star rating and price tag, I expected a bit more. The hotel itself is undeniably unique and beautiful. The rooms are spacious, well equipped, and the views especially at sunset are absolutely breathtaking. However, the guest rooms are showing their age and could really use a renovation. The bed was quite springy and not particularly comfortable, and some of the furniture looked worn. That said, everything was immaculately clean. The hotel restaurant served good food, and the overall atmosphere was enjoyable. While the location and setting are unforgettable, the accommodations didn’t quite live up to the luxury standard I was expecting.

Amazing Stay at the Salt Palace + We had such an amazing time staying at this hotel. It’s so unique and absolutely stunning. The food and drinks were delicious and there are so many fun activities to do on the property! We also treated ourselves to the SAWMANA experience at the spa, and our massages were so relaxing my husband fell asleep. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

Where World-Class Service Meets the Magic of the Salt Flats + My stay at Palacio de Sal was truly unforgettable. Beyond the breathtaking location and the uniqueness of staying in a hotel built from salt, what made the experience exceptional was the people. Every single member of the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I traveled to Uyuni for the 1st Film Festival, presenting a couture collection in the Salar - the staff were there for every single need, request and support. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality were evident in every interaction. No request was ever too much, and they consistently anticipated our needs with kindness and grace. The hotel itself is beautiful, peaceful, and unlike anywhere else in the world, but it is the incredible team that transforms it into something truly special. Their dedication to creating memorable experiences reflects the very best of Bolivian hospitality. Thank you to everyone at Palacio de Sal for making ou…

+ Struttura molto bella e molto comoda per i tour nel salar. − Il prezzo è abbastanza alto per i servizi offerti, soprattutto considerato che siamo in Bolivia.
