+ We be loved the breakfast every morning and the great staff that spoke English. The from was spacious and clean. The safe did not work, but we managed.

+ The AC didn't cool properly, it was a very dated room and equipmen. The front desk staff wouldn't do any extra effort to accommodate guest check in/out becase they didn't want to rearrange pre-arranged room blocks. At the end of the stay the water was shut off and no options were provided to guests.

Good location, need more attention to details + The hotel is in a very good location, but it needs improvements. Bedroom was fine, i had to figure out where to plug the minifridge, i found several hair in and around the buffet breakfast... and not everyone speaks english. It needs improvement.

Decent and nice staff, but could be better overall + Overall the staff was nice. One issue was that the check in took some time since my reservation wasn't prepared properly. A slightly annoying part was that I could hear the water draining and refilling of the bathroom above room. Also it had some malfunction, so it kept filling and draining for 20 minutes at night. A minor issue but worth knowing if you plan on getting the breakfast option - they didn't have any alternative milk, only regular.

+ Nice hotel in a good location, close to the city center and a metro station from the airport. Tasty breakfasts, comfortable beds. The only shortcoming was a bathroom, which was a little bit outdated.

+ One of the worst hotels i stayed. The first day i arrived at 19:45 and there was a man at the reception who didnt speak English, a sign on the desk said that the reception was opened until 20:00 but probably they left. The room was ok but the tv wasnt working and the ac was noisy and in the toilet run water suddenly. The windows didnt have thick curtains so the neighbors could see you. So i spent the first night in dark and with no tv, Next day, and after my complains to Expedia, they changed my room and they gave me a suite (as they said) . On the third day i noticed that the maid didnt clean my room but i didnt say anything so as not to offend her. But on the fourth day they didnt clean my room so i had neither clean towels nor soap or shampoo. I asked the reception why this and another man (who also didnt speak english well) told me that when you stay more that 3 days they dont clean the room every day. Old world comfort- great breakfast + Old world elegance with decor. Room and bathroom fine, though Staybridge request walk in shower ( if they have) . Breakfast was very good. A bit of a walk to attractions ( cathedral mosque etc) but liked a couple of local restaurants- more authentic.

+ OK, if you just wanna spent 1 or 2 nights is fine. Reminds me of the 80's hotels that we see in the movies. Definately not a 4* but a 3*. Staff is friendly and helpful. Bathroom needs renovation and the room needs noice isolation (I could hear the next door couple shouting) Not really impressed!

OK hotel but not great services + On a good side, the hotel is conveniently located in the city center. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The major down sides are that a) faces a very busy road; b) terrible WiFi connection; c) inconsistent quality of breakfast: in my case it was excellent on weekend, almost non-existent on Monday, and mediocre Tuesday. Overall, the price was too high for the quality provided. There are better hotels in Sofia downtown. Do not recommend this one

To be forgotten + I was in this Hotel for 6 days. An experience to be forgotten! No air conditions and it was almost 40 °C degree only a weak fan in the room called “air conditioning”. I choose a Hotel with the restaurant, all the dinners were already paid but it was a nightmare. No possibility to chose anything, the meal was already decided. in a Cantine is better. I informed them that I don’t eat onion and garlic and I was served with garlic smashed potatos and onions and sausage which I had refused the day before. I think in Gail people are treated better.No napkins, no bread…Never more
