Ok hotel + Was an ok hotel. Good location for exploring the city and the mbta stop is really close. Rest was just ok really. Got annoyed that had to get a lift from the first floor to the reception floor and then get another lift up to the room. Coffee place/ bar was ok but better off using something outside the hotel. Didn’t use the restaurant so can’t comment. Did ask at reception quickest way to Macy’s as I was sure there was a connection to hotel. They told me to go and ask the concierge on first floor (yes go and get left down for that) strange I did see on day I was leaving that on the reception floor there’s a lift there that connects to Macy’s. I would say the concierge was incredibly helpful to me when I was off to Harvard supplying me with directions and maps.

Read this before you book a stay + Location was great. Beds are so uncomfortable. Shower water was luke warm. Dont expect to use WIFI it was awful. Room temp did not get below 70 even after maintence came. I stepped in stool on the floor (yes, poop), and our shower was dirty as well as the floors with other items, on arrival.

Below Expectations + Several basic bathroom amenities that should normally have been provided were missing and were only brought to the room after we specifically asked the staff. The flooring in the room is old, visibly dirty, and heavily stained. I did not feel comfortable walking barefoot and had to repeatedly request slippers. Considering the hotel’s advertised standard, the condition of the flooring is completely unacceptable. Given how dirty it is, I am also concerned that it may negatively affect the air quality in the room. Overall, the hotel barely qualifies as a four-star property by American standards. In general, hotel standards in the United States often seem noticeably lower than those in many other countries, and unfortunately, this hotel is another example of that.

A disappointing property with exceptional staff + We chose the Hyatt Regency Boston for a special birthday stay and were excited to enjoy a Junior Suite through a Hyatt Globalist Guest of Honor benefit. Unfortunately, while the people who work at this hotel were outstanding, the property itself fell well short of expectations. Before discussing the hotel, I want to recognize the staff because they deserve it. Every employee we encountered, from the front desk to the wait-staff in the restaurant to other team members throughout our stay, was genuinely warm, welcoming, and eager to help. As an example, we asked whether it might be possible to change rooms after realizing our Junior Suite wasn't what we had hoped for, and although the hotel was completely sold out, the staff couldn't have handled the situation more graciously. Great hotel and experience + Another great stay at this fantastic hotel. Stay there years ago with my wife, and this time we brought our children and it was as great as we remember, if not better. The hotel and rooms were very clean, modern, and spacious, and all of the staff from the front desk to the restaurant, and everyone else were so friendly and accommodating. The location is also very prime for the theater and business districts and are very close to many of the popular tourist attractions. We will definitely return in. The future

Convenient stay in the middle of the city + Great hotel, right in the middle of the city with great transportation options. Although we have gone to most places just by walking. Great spacious rooms. Nice breakfast. Enjoyed our stay.

Has the potential to be great, but falls short... + The hotel room layout/size, restaurant, and location were wonderful. The room was tired, with veneers falling/fallen off -- in clear need of a reno. In my particular case the room internet cut in and out, though I remained connected to the network. There wasn't any on-property support and I wasn't in the mood to negotiate with the third-party providing the service. The wifi in the public spaces, though, was solid. An OK hotel, but not up to the Hyatt Regency standard in my experience. Tons of airline crew so margins maybe too low to keep the property well maintained?? Felt underinvested, despite some clear strengths. A shame.

Excellent service and pleasant stay + I had an excellent stay at Hyatt Regency Boston from July 19–30 and would like to recognize the exceptional service of Concierge team members Stephan and Anthony. Anthony kindly helped me keep track of a delayed package, and even after I checked out, Stephan went above and beyond by printing the shipping label and handing my package to my scheduled courier. Their kindness, professionalism and dedication are truly commendable. They are wonderful representatives of Hyatt and deserve special recognition.

Hyatt Should Be Embarrassed to Have Its Name on This Property + This property is an embarrassment to the Hyatt Regency brand. I have stayed at many Hyatt properties, and I was genuinely shocked by the condition of this hotel. This is not simply a hotel that is “dated” or ready for a refresh. It is visibly deteriorating and should not be charging Hyatt Regency rates while presenting rooms in this condition. Our room was dark, dingy, and poorly maintained. The lampshades were stained and damaged, the ceiling had bubbling and peeling paint, the carpet was stained, the furniture was visibly marked and worn, and the upholstery was literally fraying. The photos speak for themselves. At this price point — and under the Hyatt Regency name — this is completely unacceptable. The restaurant was equally disappointing. The food was poor, and there was nothing about the dining experience that came close to what I would expect from a full-service Hyatt Regency. The only positive part of our expe…

Beautiful hotel! Great service, clean, and great location. + The Hyatt Regency Boston was amazing. The staff and employees were very professional, helpful and friendly. The room was cleaned daily and I loved the bathroom lighting. It was perfect for getting ready. The view from our room on the 12th floor was wonderful and the location couldn’t have been better. Everything was within walking distance! We could walk to Boston Common within six minutes, and there were many restaurants and cafés nearby. If we needed to take the subway to get across town, that was also very convenient. Even though checkout was at noon and we didn’t have to leave for the airport until mid afternoon, the hotel held our bag while we went out to lunch. I would highly recommend this place!

Confirmed Suite Downgraded, Then Treated Rudely at Check-In + I had an extremely disappointing experience at Hyatt Regency Boston. My confirmed Executive Suite, booked using a Suite Upgrade Award, was not honored for the first night, and the downgrade to a standard room was not clearly disclosed. When I asked when I could move to the correct room, supervisor Jakya responded sarcastically, asking whether I wanted her to “kick the other guests out,” and later called security after I objected to her treatment. As a longtime Hyatt Globalist, I found the lack of professionalism, communication, and basic respect unacceptable. Hyatt should investigate this incident seriously.

Good Hotel/Great Location + We were here on a mini vacation. This is a very good hotel and lives up to the Hyatt name. The room was very comfortable. It is not outdated like some reviewers have written. The price was reasonable for the location. Excellent customer service at the front desk and the restaurant. The location was excellent for doing touristy things.

Great Experience + Traveling with small dog and was effortless. We were welcomed with a room upgrade and breakfast voucher. The breakfast staff went out of their way to accommodate us as we were traveling with our pup so that we could eat together. The room was clean and spacious and so very quiet. I would recommend this Hyatt highly.

Great Hotel Experience + I was a guest for a 70th birthday pleasure trip from August 13 through the 20th and I was very pleased with my accomodations. Check-in was smooth and the staff was able to provide me an early check-in. Throughout the week, I enjoyed the Avenue One restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. The food was first rate, particularly the Fish and chips and the excellent breakfast buffet. Over the course of my stay I became good friends with two great bartenders, Bill and Phil. They, in turn, introduced me to some of their regular customers, which was a very educational and enjoyable experience for me. These local folks gave me so many great ideas for things to do and ways to get there! That is one of my favorite things about traveling, meeting friendly people! I also had the pleasure of interacting with Anthony, the concierge on the street level desk. He always greeted me with a smile and very pleasant conversation. Great location + Great location but the bathrooms need updating as they are worn and outdated. Service & security was great. Not a fan of the prepaid breakfast and the bar was twice as expensive than in town.
