Great one night stay and great food!!! + Booked last-minute while on a road trip around England, and was in the family studio, as it was the last room left. Was traveling alone, but it would have a been a great setup for anyone traveling with a family. There was a living room area and a small kitchen counter with a sink out in the room. Also, the restaurant was fantastic - get the steak pie! Both dinner/dessert and breakfast were two of the best meals I had in my 2.5 week UK trip. Parking was easy; plenty of space, and was able to roll my luggage right into the studio room - no elevator needed. Nice peaceful location out in the country. − Huge bathroom, but wish it had more counter space and more hooks to hang toiletry bags!

Colin, our host, has done a beautiful job decorating this beautiful inn, there are so many special touches. We stayed here for two nights and genuinely did not want to leave.

An absolute gem! Thank you Sam, Emma & team! + We stayed for two nights to see an ‘Amy Winehouse’ tribute singer in Carlisle town centre. Absolutely everything! The staff, Sam, Emma, chef ,and the team of guys were exceptional! The locals were so friendly and the rooms were absolutely fantastic with the most comfortable beds we’ve slept on! Breakfast absolutely delicious as was the evening meal!!!! Thank you guys!!! We hope to be back soon! − Nothing
