+ The staff were so warm and friendly and really were welcoming. Great location in a fabulous part of the world. Were very relaxed about my dog and he was given treats so he was happy as well. Nice clean room with all the facilities necessary.

Pleasant stay in good location with friendly people. + Met our expectations based on other reviews. Friendly staff with a good selection of food and drinks and varied choice for breakfast. Good selection of teas and coffee in the room. Location was superb. Peaceful nights sleep. Looking forward to a return visit. − Only thing to improve could be some of the floorboards in between bed and door in room 11.

Wonderful and relaxing. + Extraordinary setting with a wonderful view. Access was easy and it was a wonderful, laid back experience. − Finding the place at the end was a bit difficult as google did not know exactly where it was, but once i wordout to follow Gill Lane up the hill it all became clear! The number of dogs in the bar, and particularly in eating areas, was very discomforting.

Verwaarloosd hotel lief vrouwelijk personeel + Als iets niet goed gegaan was, werd het meteen opgelost. Daarnaast was het vrouwelijk personeel ontzettend aardig. De locatie was ook top, in the middle of nowhere. − Dat er zoveel niet goed ging. Als ik het onder de aandacht bracht werd het meteen opgelost, maar ik had het fijner gevonden als het vanzelf goed zou gaan. Zo moest ik elke keer vragen of de kamer schoongemaakt werd. Omdat ik mij bezwaard voelde is er meerdere dagen niet ‘schoongemaakt’/opgeruimd. Dan werd het bed opgemaakt en schone handdoeken neergelegd. Schoonmaken gebeurde niet of nauwelijks. Het verwarmingssysteem was uitgezet. Hierdoor bleef alles vochtig in de kamer (bv handdoeken). En was het echt heel koud. Pas toen ook mijn kind lag te huilen ‘s nachts (het was 7 graden) durfde ik het onder de aandacht te brengen. Toen bleek dat het verwarmingssysteem was uitgezet. Ik moest vragen om baby bed. Baby bed en baby stoel waren echt smerig. Ik moest vragen om bedlin…

Mooi authentiek onderkomen met een lange gezchiedenis. Mooie omgeving. 7 kilometer van het coast to coast pad. Te bereke + Mooie locatie, goed bed. − Reageren niet op berichten via Booking.com Telefonisch nauwelijks bereikbaar.

Exceptional + What isn’t to like, one of a kind view outside, the pub is lovely and has a cosy feel to it, the rooms are well equipped, beds are comfy. The food is exceptional and the pints are reasonably priced, clean glasses. The staff, what can I say, they are amazing, friendly, kind and easy to have a chat and a laugh with. − Leaving, didn’t want to leave.

Great staff and views but not a place for us. + Good friendly staff who were pleasant and always happy to help. − Room was cold and quite basic. Even after reporting heating issues no improvement . A long way from bar and restaurant.

Just the one night, but thoroughly enjoyable stay in a great location. + Amazing location , staff were 10/10 . We arrived quite late , after 8 pm, and despite the staff being busy we received such a warm and friendly welcome, very personable and much appreciated. − The plumbing was quite noisy when other residents, I assume close to our room, were maybe running water. It was a minor short term issue and far from the end of the world, I would guess unavoidable in a property this age..
