Simple, clean, good facilities. However I was charged an extra 5000 yen for arriving at 8.30pm + simple but has all the facilities needed for a ski/snow hostel. Helpful staff, lots of space. − I arrived at the hostel at 8.30pm, however I was charged an additional 5000 yen as a late fee. Most hostels have someone working reception until 9pm, and if you are arriving late, aslong you let them know (which I did) they will just leave the key and instructions for you. I was dissapointed that I had to pay such a high fee for getting to an area at a fairly reasonable time.

+ Excellent location, always warm and inviting, communal space was good − We booked for 4 Adults , we had a double bed and what we thought was two single beds , which ended up being tatami style up a loft that our adult kids couldn’t fit in. We had other family with us , it was lucky they could stay with them.

Great Hostel close to Woody ski hire and main bus route + It’s basic but good and does exactly what you would expect from a hotel/hostel. Great ski & boot room facilities with a dedicated tech space for tuning and waxing your skis/board − The property is quite old, only 50% of the windows are double glazed, but they keep it well heated and there A/C throughout the accommodation so u never felt that it was under equipped. But I would hate to pay the heating bills!!!

Great location and price, with fantastic staff + Fantastic location for a family with two teens. 7/11 metres down the road, and easy access to the free resort shuttles. Great staff who were so accomodating and the family room was fantastic with tons of space to spread out in, and the double bed in a separate room to the kids bunks etc. A little out of town which means getting into the valley for food etc is a little harder, however there is a night taxi service as well as a night shuttle bus you pay a minor fee for. Will totally be staying here again as the price was fantastic and even though it is a shared bathroom/shower situation, was all clean, well maintained and we met some great young people while there with our teens.

Rooms were good and staff was lovely. − The walls didn’t have much sound proofing and the flooring was loud to walk on so it was abit annoying hearing everyone stomp around.
