Couldn’t believe how small the room was + Convenient point for breaking journey. Breakfast was good and the morning staff were very pleasant. − Room too small and not very well received when arrived at 21 30.

+ Staff were very pleasant and helpful and were clearly putting in extra effort. Despite us being late for breakfast they were still more than happy to serve us and were very friendly.

Probably best to avoid + Bed was firm but comfortable − Breakfast only available after 9am, no pre notice, we had to leave by 8am. Wouldn’t agree refund with booking.com who tried and provided a credit En suite was a small cupboard built into the room with a shower that couldn’t be set to cooler than scalding hot. No staff on site to help correct.

Very good and would definitely stay again + Overall it was very good, we stayed there as we were attending a wedding at Hodsock Priory, enjoyed a quiet drink in the beer garden and the food was excellent − We were told breakfast was 7-30am to 9am but it was actually 9am start.

+ We were given a much better room, as one had become available. The staff were helpful and very pleasant. The Angel has lots of character and is comfortable. The food was good too. − Nothing at all negative, only one bedside table was the only thing that would make it 10 out of 10.
