Lovely quiet traditional hotel with good food + Very comfortable, with friendly and efficient staff, a nice room, and a good hot shower. Dinner was good, and breakfast was excellent, with a lot of choice for the continental, and a very tasty and well-cooked hot breakfast. And what a peaceful location! We had a lovely short walk around the village. − There's nothing we didn't like. Other reviews mention that the hotel shows a little wear and tear, and that staff are not always present, and that's all true, but it was outweighed by all the positives.

the glory days of The Roundabout Hotel are very much behind them, in need of a spruce up + location between two jobs, decent shower and bed was ok, place is ok if you are a travelling workman and don't mind putting up with averageness − broken kettle and half eaten biscuit when entering room, drip step missing on front door of apartment, very noisy guest in room adjacent as the walls were paper thin and had to tell him to quieten down about midnight. £8.60 for a pint of blackcurrant and lemonade seemed excessive, the food was alright

Adequate but lacking many important aspects + Good standard of breakfast. Clean and comfortable room − Having to pay extra for cooked breakfast and pressure to pay night before Paper thin walls. I could hear every word said by guests in neighbouring room Hearing guest snoring in neighbouring room Being rushed out of dining room after breakfast No main course vegetarian option No guest lounge No garden for guests to sit in

+ Gorgeous, big room and tasty breakfast. Staff were very nice and got us an iron on request as we had a wedding that day. − Whilst the check out was 11am, breakfast was only from 7-8.45am which felt very early, and ended up eating then going back to sleep for a nap! Would be fab if it was available a bit later in the day I.e. til 9.30am. Location is in a pretty place but you have to drive everywhere - but absolutely suited our purposes.

The hotel served our requirement adequately and we would stay again + Friendly staff and quiet location with comfortable bed. − Disappointed with the vegetables at dinner. They were either frozen or cooked too long. They did not seem freshly cooked. The seabass was very tasty as was the homemade pate. Breakfast was ok but no plain yogurt.

The Roundabout Hotel worked out well for us, but it would be nice if the bathrooms were more modern + The staff was lovely - very personable and accommodating. The breakfast was also very nice. Overall it suited our needs well. − The bathroom was quite dated and had two separate taps for hot and cold water which was not ideal. It was also a bit difficult to climb in and out of the tub for a shower.
