Great place...will stay here again happily + The high points of this hotel are its excellent location for local MTB trails, proximity to the cycle path along the river Tweed, good car parking, fantastic staff, spotless bathroom and toilets, great shower and a first class restaurant, pub and tasty food. The proprietor of the place was very friendly and helpful − The lack of a table and comfy chair in the room for working on a laptop or some such was noted. I expected the family room to be a little larger, but that wasn't a huge issue

Great for mountain bikers! + I loved my little single room, had all I needed and bonus bottle of water. Good powerful shower too. Nicely designed, made it feel cosy. Very peaceful night's sleep despite being over a restaurant. Very helpful manager didn't mind removing a large spider thank you. Fabulous large portions of quality food in the restaurant. So much that I was too full for breakfast the next day. Let me check in early. Very good value − It was incredibly busy. I hadn't realised how much of a Mecca for mountain biking Innerleithen has become. If the sight of men in lycra is not your thing maybe not for you. Also some pretty arrogant men in full shooting gear with very expensive range rovers. Bit of a playground for the rich. These are the customers mainly serviced by this hotel. Not the hotel's fault but I enjoyed quieter places earlier in the week and this was a bit of a shock travelling as a single female.

Very enjoyable I will be back + Traditional with modern touches. Very comfortable. Excellent friendly and flexible staff − Inevitably given the age of the property bedrooms in the main house up fairly steep stairs.

Amazing location, bad smell in hallway + Amazing location with walkway only 25 min to Traquair House. Nice looking rooms. − Bad smell in hallway and bathroom. Personal preference uncomfortable pillow and cold in room.
