+ So convenient to town. Air conditioned room was very comfortable. Great pub with excellent staff.

Clean and comfortable + Lovely room, very clean, smart and comfortable. Good quiet air conditioning. − The staff in the hotel were quite gruff and not terribly helpful especially when we were trying to get our breakfast. The breakfast was pretty poor unfortunately - poached eggs virtually hard-boiled - and we wished we’d gone elsewhere for brunch. A shame as the accommodation was lovely.

Could almost have been perfect, little changes required and a manager that was obviously present. + Loved a bath in room, Katso chicken dish amazing closeness to town comfy bed good size great air conditioning and fridge in room − Sausages need to be replaced terrible, noise of motor kicking in all night next to room 1 and the lights out back way overboard so room not dark and when complained about one poor, no terrible meal no discount offered and staff didnt really care. Where’s manager, good knows who’s running the place

Great stay...will return! + The room was excellent! It was a nice size, plenty of space, and included all facilities usually expected in a hotel room and then some. We loved the decor, the lighting, the super kingsize bed; we really appreciated the air conditioning, and wished we could have stayed for longer as my husband and I both agreed it was one of the nicest most comfortable rooms we have ever stayed in. − Unfortunately, on walking into the pub for the first time and waiting to speak with staff, our first impression was not good. The staff knew we were waiting and they smiled at us, but did not deign to talk to us until they had finished whatever it was they were doing. In a hospitality industry, customers come first. They must be treated well and prioritised otherwise they may not return. Luckily, when they did speak to us and for the rest of our stay they were quite friendly and very helpful., so no harm done. ☺️

Don't go! + Location good. Pub looks great but that's where it ends. − Hard beds and pillows. Breakfast advertised until 9.30am. Arrived at 9.06am to be told breakfast has finished and chef is too busy to serve us. No guests were in the pub eating or finishing their breakfast and no breakfast items were out. Nothing in literature to say when breakfast would be served but website confirmed it was until 9.30am. Suspect that chef couldn't be bothered to serve us as only ones wanting breakfast. Otherwise why was everything cleared away already if breakfast finished at 9.00am. Therefore paid for breakfast but wouldn't serve us and when we tried to protest the lady on duty was very indifferent to our plight and just reiterated that breakfast was over. Will never set foot inside that place again.

Better than I thought it would be + Missed the entrance to the hotel even using satnav, so I turned around and came right back to it. Check in was at the bar. The rooms were behind the pub in a building that may have been an outbuilding originally . The room itself was pretty basic, but was fine for the night we were there. There was a kettle for boiling water and surprisingly, it had a safe. The bathroom was pretty small. The shower worked nicely, but the tub was slippery. A bath mat in the room, without having to go ask for one, would have been nice. There were a number of items to choose from off the breakfast menu; it wasn’t a buffet. The food was ok, but food services company quality.

Comfortable and clean + Location and large bed − Electric sockets on only one side of the bed. Lots of indicator light visible at night and need a blind on the skylight. Would suggest more shelves for toiletries in the bathroom/wet room. There was no toilet seat. We stayed for 2 nights and the room wasn’t serviced after the first night. I think we were given an accessibility room since we were late arrivals
