Overall, I was very satisfied with the property for the price that we paid. Would stay again. + Very friendly and helpful hosts that truly make you feel like you are at home! The location is great and felt very central for all of our needs. The homestay only has a couple rooms in total, so noise is not a problem and it is very quiet. The sheets and bedding were clean and the AC works very well. There is also covered parking inside the little "compound" for motorbikes. − The bathroom was very smelly and the water pressure was very low in the shower. The bathroom was the only negative of the room and stay in general. There is also no sink in the bathroom, if you want a sink you need to go into the common area. - FYI - There is a very loud call to prayer that happens every morning starting around 3-4AM. I am a very heavy sleeper, but even this woke me up as it is very close by. However, this is not a problem about the homestay, just a FYI for all future travelers.

Parfait + L’établissement est situé dans une ruelle en direction de l’aéroport, c’est bien pratique pour prendre l’avion tôt le matin. Il s’agit de chambre dans une maison locale. La famille nous a accueilli chaleureusement. La propreté est exceptionnelle. Je recommande chaleureusement ce homestay. Je conseille de réserver bien à l’avance car il y a peu de chambres. − Juste un conseil il n’y a pas de restaurant à proximité. Nous avons choisi de manger dans un restaurant sur les hauteur de Padang pour profiter du coucher de soleil.

+ Very welcoming owner family - making you feel like home. Only 3 rooms, located in a very quiet area, but in easy walking distance to the main road with restaurants and shops. Very well equipped room, free tea and coffee available, hot shower. They organized my transport to the Airport at 5AM and the whole family get up that time to make sure that I will be on time - so kind!!! Very good price for what you get! I would highly recommend this place! Thanks to the family!!!

+ Die Lage in der Nähe des Flusses hat trotz Großstadt einen fast dörflichen Charakter. Stadt ist aber trotzdem gut mit Bus oder Motorradtaxi zu erreichen. Das Bad ist großzügig mit allem Komfort ausgestattet. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett, interessiert und hilfsbereit. Für ein paar Tage konnte ich auch in dem kleinen Zimmer ohne Stauraum gut klarkommen. Im Innenhof gibt es Kaffee und Tee. Die Lichtverhältnisse sind besonders gut (Nachtischlampe vom Bett aus zu bedienen, angenehmes Licht). − Die Matratze war sehr weich.

+ La flexibilité en acceptant notre réservation la veille pour le lendemain et en venant nous chercher à l'aéroport Nous avions loué 2 chambres avec une très bien sur la salle de bain et la chambre bien climatisée même s'il y a peu d'espace pour poser sa valise. Le propriétaire est très sympa avec un bon anglais et les prix sont très attractifs. − Sur la 2eme chambre (la familiale), il faisait extrêmement chaud et la climatisation ne fonctionnait pas où très faible donc très dur de dormir ! Et la salle de bain ne donne vraiment pas envie de se doucher dedans. Cette chambre est à éviter.

+ The owners' family is helpful, always try to fulfill our needs and requests. Location is not too far from the main sites in the city. They rent out motorbikes. We've also asked for a fan in a room and received it. − The ac in the room we've stayed (big room with 3 beds) doesnt work well, hence the room is too hot. They have given us a fan which has made the room a bit colder, but its not enough. The are mosques with loudspeakers nearby which start praying every day at like 5 am local time. Overall good place for short stay only. Avoid big room as it is unbearable. We've always stayed sweaty with headache because of the hot and dry weather. For a night or two its alright, not for longer.

Une charmante guesthouse et de belles personnes + Un accueil très chaleureux, avec de magnifiques sourires, une petite guesthouse colorée dans une petite rue calme, où l’on se sent vraiment bien. Le propriétaire est passionnant quand il parle de la tribu Mentawaï et des efforts (et réussites!) de scolarisation des enfants. C’était une très belle rencontre.
