Overnight stop off + Lovely accommodation, clean and comfortable. Host was very welcoming and we had a welcome drink on arrival which was nice and the breakfast was first class. − Parking not the easiest so we went on the pay and display carpark near by,not really a problem though.

+ Tolle Lage. − Das Zimmer so niedrig, dass man sich dort nur gebeugt bewegen konnte. Das Bad war nur mit einer simplen Badewanne ausgestattet, in der man sich nur in der Hocke duschen konnte, - Überschwemmungen ließen sich dennoch nicht vermeiden.

Overpriced for the facilities provided. + Ideal location. − Very small bedroom and even smaller ensuite. You sat on the toilet with your left elbow in the sink. The shower was so small I almost touched all four walls (I'm not that fat!). The shower pressure was almost non existent and very poor flow to both taps in the sink. The bedroom door lock was a challenge to open and the door was a very poor fit to the frame. It would normally have been ok for the one night I was there, but facilities and description simply did not fit the rather full price paid. Breakfast was fine.

Central accommodation with a great sense of history! + Castle House is a historic Georgian townhouse and the sense of history is evident. It is a world away from the modern sanitised hotels that we know so well. The lady who greeted and served us was very helpful and pleasant. For access to central Richmond and the square, the position is ideal. − The decor isn’t high end boutique and there is too much unnecessary clutter that could do with clearing out. The age of the building comes with sloping floors and creaky boards, low ceilings and small rooms. Although we were lucky to come across a nearby space, parking close to it could be a problem.
