Great pub, great location, super friendly staff + Location of the property was excellent, right in the centre of Reeth, parking available just outside on the village green at a small cost (suggested donation). Very old property with amazing character, small doorways and uneven floors but this brings so much charm to it. Staff were all so friendly and helpful throughout our stay, fantastic beer garden with plenty of seats, darts and pool tables available in the pub as well as plenty of board games you can use. Breakfast choices were excellent, cereal, toast, porridge, hot drinks, fruit juices and a menu with a good selection of cooked options. Room was a good size and over looked the village green with beautiful views of the surrounding area, bed was super comfy. Would definitely recommend. − Nothing

Great pub in the beautiful village of Reeth + We stayed in the beautiful village of Reeth at the Black Bull, the staff were so friendly from check in to check out. The room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed with a gorgeous view over the village green and surrounding hills with a window seat so you could sit and watch the world go by, very peaceful and quiet at night. Great choice of drinks in the bar and plenty of seats both inside and out, beer garden is lovely and was a little sun trap when we sat in it on the afternoon/early evening, also seating area outside the front of the pub which is great for people watching and taking in the fantastic views. Pool Table and Darts board as well as loads of board games that you can use to entertain yourselves. Breakfast choices were very good, cereal, fruit juice, toast, yoghurt, hot drinks as well as a good cooked selection. Good value for money and great location right in the centre of the village over looking the village …

Perfect op onze wandelroute + Vriendelijk personeel en een hele gezellige pub. Het eten was super. − Alle deuren kamer, wc en douche klemden nogal. Het openmaken maakte lawaai en andere gasten hoorden dit in hun kamer.

The Heart of Reeth + Recently stayed for another week in a nearby cottage and The Black Bull, as always, featured heavily in my holiday. We are now at the stage where when I take my dog out for a walk around the village (he’s off ahead exploring on his lead and I just follow with snacks and bags) we end up at the pub every time without fail! He makes a beeline for the front door, even if he has to drag me past the other lovely establishments to get there. As a single woman it can sometimes be tricky logistically to be out and about with a huge dog in tow, and I usually travel with a friend to make sure that there is someone to hold him while I visit the loo, etc. (can hardly tie him to a table as if he does decide to wander off I would come back to find that the furniture had been rearranged). Helen, one of the lovely owners, has given me the confidence to book my next two trips as a solo traveller and assures me that we will be absolutely fine and that they will be happy to help with…

+ Very welcoming staff and a lovely atmosphere in the public rooms. Evening meal was delicious and served professionally . Great breakfast in the morning. Really enjoyed it. Good place for a stopover on the C2C Way! − Everything was great. Liked it all.

Good pub and walkers hotel + Great bar with pool and darts and nice welcoming staff. It is quite suitable for walkers. − The room was fine but the decor and fixtures tired. There seemed to be a fetish for laminated signs of "dont's" which were unnecessary.
