We Will be back + The stuff at the front desk was amazing! Especially Barbara with her great patience and Ursulla with her very warm welcome and demeanor! The balcony with the ocean view was a winner! Every time we are in the SD area we will make sure to return to this hotel. It is a GEM! − I would change the light bulbs to warm light rather than white; that is the only comment I have. The white lights give a feeling of a cheap, cold place, which is not the case at all for this location. It is a great and welcoming place, with an excellent location and atmosphere.

Cute hotel on the beach...great service + Stayed at this hotel since it was just 10 minutes from the San Diego fairgrounds. The rooms are very clean and nice pool and jacuzzi. Landscaping and outdoor area are well maintained and pool is quiet. Cute gem on the beach! Would definitely come back.

Great location, very clean, comfortable bed, friendly staff, will definitely stay here again. + The hotel as a whole was very clean. Our room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and we enjoyed walking around the property. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling to Del Mar. − Everything was great, there wasn't anything we didn't like.

Beautiful location for a family stay + Fun and easy stay with kids. Loved that we could sit out by the pool or watching the sunset in the evening and be steps away from the kids while they slept. Easy parking, didn’t feel crowded. The rooms felt a little cold in their decor but plenty big and appreciated the larger than mini fridge. The hotel restaurant looked overpriced but appreciated that we were next to a best western with a cute breakfast cafe that had everything we needed

Avoid + As an IHG Diamond Elite member who has enjoyed pleasant stays at the Hotel Indigo Del Mar in the past, I returned with high expectations for a four-night family trip. Unfortunately, this visit was plagued by a relentless series of service, billing, and hygiene failures. Based on this awful experience, I strongly advise others to look elsewhere. We requested an early check-in, which I completely understand is subject to availability. However, when the official 4:00 PM check-in time arrived, our room was still not ready. We were finally granted access at 4:30 PM, only to walk in and find a housekeeper still cleaning the room. Shortly after settling in, I made a genuinely repulsive discovery: someone else’s toenail clippings were left on the floor next to the bed. I immediately brought this to a manager’s attention. Horrendous. + Location was great. − Called to see if early check in was available and they said no, which is fine. I arrived at 4:00pm which was the designated check in time. The ladies at the check in desk were rude and dismissive. They informed me that my room still wasn’t ready and it would be 5-10 minute wait. Unfortunately it took a whole 45 minutes to finally get keys to my room. They made no effort to find another room. Instead made my wife and I wait. The bar wasn’t open on time to enjoy a beverage while we waited. I wasn’t offered any water while being forced to wait for a room that I paid for from 4pm-11am. Following day I requested late check out. After some convincing they allowed me to have an extra hour. In that time my wife and I left and came back to a room we couldn’t access. Once again the person working didn’t care that we weren’t able to get into our room to remove our luggage. Instead we once again had to wait in the lobby for the customer service representative …
