Very enjoyable stay at The Lions + The 2 owners made us feel so welcome and they even asked if we would like a glass of wine whilst we sat in the lovely garden after settling in . Really enjoyed our breakfast which was cooked to order and fresh fruit salad to start. Worth staying here just for the breakfast!!! Think the rooms all vary in size and furnishings are very old traditional style but very clean and comfortable!! − Only minor issue was lack of space in ensuite for toiletries in twin bedded room! But if we were going to visit Newark again we would definitely be back !!

Warm, friendly, comfortable, great location for all Newark has to offer. + Pablo and John are so helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable and had everything needed. Breakfast was excellent and generous. Nothing was too much trouble from advice about where to eat in the evening to tweaking breakfast to our requests. − No complaints at all.

A very nice place to stay! + Lovely, well cared for old building, which, in combination with the many pieces of period furniture, gives the place a very nice feel. Very friendly hosts, comfortable bed and a beautiful breakfast. − The entrance to the driveway is very narrow - so be aware if you have a large vehicle!
