Stepped back in time and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. + A place with history and character. It met my (solo traveller) needs and I found it easy to relax. I can see how small/family groups would enjoy gathering in one of the gorgeous sitting rooms. Looking out over the garden and listening to the water feature was a treat, so was the spa bath. − A little odd to meet the host about four days into my stay for the first time, however, messages/queries were quickly responded to and my late arrival/early departure wasn’t an issue. A minor detail, but some of the furnishings and decorations, like curtains and sheers, were a bit tired and worn; won’t take much to fix.

A clean comfortable stay with full cooking facilities, a few stairs to navigate cause we were in the self contained apar + Location was great, easy walk into town but nice and quiet at night. Beds were comfortable and staff were friendly. − Nothing everything was excellent.

Comfortable and historic hotel in a perfect location for walking, especially to restaurants. + Kelly Ann was an amazing hostess. The hotel is beautiful and comfortable. We like to walk and were able to walk everywhere we needed and wanted to go. Tremendous restaurants nearby. − The breakfast room was not as welcoming as it could have been.

Very comfortable, excellent position, helpful and friendly staff. + Kelly-Ann, the manager was so helpful and personable. My room was great and the bed was very comfortable. The Lodge is in a very handy position which made walking to most Hobart attractions easy. − Nothing.

Old World Charm + Great location, near many restaurants. It had 'old world charm' with a lovely common lounge straight out of the 1800s. Even though it was near a main road, we didn't hear any traffic noise at night. − My husband kept tripping over the heater cord, which was a tad too short.

The Lodge is a cosy, calm, safe and delightfully central place to stay! + The building is beautiful and interesting, with lots of historic architectural details (like the chandelier and ceiling moulding in our room) and thoughtful furnishings, particularly in the front lounge and tea rooms. The North Hobart location is perfect too; you are close to everything in the CBD, without feeling like you’re in the middle of a soulless business area. − We would’ve liked a bigger bin in our room, but otherwise had no issues.

+ Location − The spa was tiny wasn't a corner spa more like half the size of a normal spa parking was on the street the price was to much for what it was wanted a spa to relax an u couldn't even lay in the spa without ya legs hanging out of it

Convenient location, lovely building. + Have stayed here many years ago - it is a great location, close to great restaurants. Lovely old building. − I really enjoyed chatting with the staff and breakfast last time we stayed here some years ago - I’m sure it is much more streamlined to have self check in etc but I miss the personal touch. On street parking.
