Outstanding and affordable place to stay in Denver + We have stayed here frequently for the past few years as our two youngest children live in the area. The staff is friendly and responsive; the rooms, restaurant, and fitness center are very clean. The breakfast offered to Marriott elite guests is top-notch! Very generous and the menu has many options. The wait staff at the restaurant are particularly friendly, efficient, and thoughtful! We've stayed at Marriott properties where the "free" breakfast is very limited. We stayed here right after Christmas last year and unfortunately had to put our 5 year-old black lab down due to kidney failure. The staff at the Marriott removed our dog fee and also, the next time we stayed there, the front desk staff expressed condolences for the loss of our dog--over and above. We've had many great interactions with Mitchell at the front desk. There are many places to stay in the Denver Area, but this one stands out.

Housekeeping issues. + This hotel is old and very dirty. The lack of housekeeping standards are shocking. The hallways appear to not have been vacuumed for weeks. My rooms was filthy at check in. They don’t clean the room all week unless I begged. Disgusting standards. Not up to Marriott standards. Elevator broken. Carpet dirty. Just gross.

It started out bad and had a pleasant outcome + Unfortunately, our check-in experience started off very poorly. When we arrived, Vallerie was on her phone and came across as rude and dismissive. We were checking in a day early, and she told us that our room type was not available. Rather than making us feel welcomed or trying to help find a solution, her attitude made an already stressful situation more frustrating. Thankfully, her manager, Naytasha, stepped in and completely turned the experience around. She was extremely kind, professional, and understanding. She initially explained the situation from her employee’s side and checked us into an available room, promising to help resolve the room issue the following morning. However, less than two minutes later, Naytasha called us to let us know that she had found a suite for us after all, so we wouldn’t have to wait until the next day. She personally brought our new room keys up to us and even provided us with a breakfast voucher. H…

Not affordable. + Internet is $20 a day, not included. Parking is $20 a day, also not included. No coffee in the lobby, meaning you either purchase it or you’re on your own. Towels and such were cheap. Nice looking hotel, but a 3 star at best for any consumer traveling in their own budget.

− I made the reservation through booking.com. When we got to the Marriott, they couldn’t find the reservation. And then they find the reservation and then every time there was a new person at the front desk and they said they couldn’t find the reservation. It was absolutely a nightmare. The third-party reservation systems are not connected. If you are accepting considerations from third-party systems, then there needs to be a way to have the reservations pulled up.

Location, location, location + This is a classic Marriott property in a great location in the DTC. There are good onsite amenities such as restaurants and a coffee shop. There is a low rise and high rise tower. The high rise tower looks newer.

Unique Hotel, Big Room + This was one of the most unique hotels I've stayed in. Room was exceptional for the price in quality and size. − I wanted to tip the room cleaner but I couldn't find cash anywhere in this cashless hotel. The person's name on the room card provided was not an option to pick to tip. I ended up just tipping the front desk. Maybe do it by room number, instead of name? Also, the front drop off area is a mess.

Great place, perfect location. + The access to the train and dining was great. The staff were also knowledgeable of the area. − I didn't like the smell of the lotion and soap in the room but that's a preference.

+ I had a mixed experience during my stay. The highlight was definitely the wonderful breakfast, which offered a great variety of fresh and tasty options. The property is situated in a quiet area, providing a peaceful atmosphere, and there are several good cafés and restaurants within walking distance. Another highlight was the friendly and welcoming staff. They were always helpful and contributed positively to the overall experience. − However, there were some disappointing aspects. There is no free parking, which added unexpected costs to the stay. Cleanliness was also below expectations. I frequently found black hairs on the white towels, which was unpleasant and raised concerns about housekeeping standards. In addition, the bed linen appeared unironed, making the room feel less clean and well-maintained than it should have.
