No frills, extremely comfortable and well situated family-run hotel which is great value. + Location, location! Just around the corner from Hawksburn village, there is a real shortage of non Airbnb accommodation in this area. It has become our Melbourne home away from home when visiting family in the eastern suburbs. It is great value with easy access to public transport and parking on site. You are always assured of a warm welcome.

Clean comfortable 3 night stay in a convenient location + Free easy parking. Close to train. Easy walk to cafes. Charming old buiding. Easy checkin and access. We have stayed a couple of times and will stay again. − No problem for us but some people may not like to lift suitcases up the stairs.

Great location, onsite free parking and charmful rooms. + I requested a downstairs bedroom away from the main road (and therefore traffic noise) this request was provided very kindly. On site parking is such a bonus. The location near the Hawksburn train station makes movement around Melbourne very easy. I would highly recommend for your next Melbourne stay. − I can't think of anything.

I felt safe, cared for and yet, exactly what I wanted. Peace, privacy and plenty of rest + Had breakfast only once. Really enjoyed my crumbled oats with peaches, mini muffin and the beautiful coffee hand made by our amazing hostess − The sachets of coffee. It’s all about the personal taste. I would rather have Nescafé

A nice place to stay, but bring your earplugs. Train rumbles through from roughly 5am to 11pm. + Conveniently located on the southeast side of Melbourne. Easy access to city center and southern routes out of the city. Spacious, comfortable rooms, well appointed. Ample free parking. Nice sitting area in the front garden. − Located right next to train tracks running approximately 5am to 11pm. On a busy street, but road noise was minimal. Ostensibly a B&B, but breakfast was an additional charge.
