Beautiful rooms and delicious food. + The decor was lovely and the swing in the bedroom was unexpected! The bed was really comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. Food was very good. We had dinner and breakfast and both were delicious. The gardens outside were lovely. All of the staff were friendly and attentive.

+ Honestly there was nothing about this stay that we didnt like, from the moment we arrived (which was early) to have lunch before checking in staff were lovely, they even allowed us to go up to room early as it was ready − Was a perfect stay nothing to dislike about any of it

Friendly, honest but tired... + Lovely staff, Stuart, Teresa. Excellent service V friendly. − Its quirky and the gardens were lovely but our room needed modernising, carpet was thread bare and the decor could do with freshening up...

Unique, quirky hotel with great pub and excellent food + Lovely welcome, friendly and helpful staff. Quirky historic hotel and beautiful gardens. The pub and restaurant are fab and beautifully decorated. The rooms lean in (heavily!) to a chinzy decor which makes for a unique experience. Excellent food and real ales. − Beds could do with new mattresses / pillowd and bedding not as clean as I would like (small hairs on bedding). Hotel on main road rather noisy at night with windows open but that is expected for this location.. Swings in room are quirky... but very noisy when neighbouring room decided to swing at 10.30 at night!
