+ The price was good. Although very simple, the breakfast was unexpected so it was a bonus. The rooms were clean and comfortable. − There was little to no hot water in the am. The climate control was very confusing to use. Although the rooms themselves were nice and clean the common rooms were dated.

I was traveling for a job at the local canola oil plant, so the driving to work was 3 minutes. − The price for the single room with two beds was too high as I needed something simple to spend a night between two shifts at work. Needed something smaller and cheaper..

Very relaxing stay. + The room was very clean. And the mattress on the bed was very good. I slept better in the hotel than at home. I wished I could have taken that mattress with me. 😉 The pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained. The staff connected nicely by text messages. They always got back to me right away when I had questions. − N/A

We enjoyed our time in Altona and it would be fun to go back someday. Great value! + The hotel was very clean and in a good location. There is nothing fancy about it, but it was just fine for our needs, and a good value. We'd stay there again if traveling through the area. Altona is a lovely little town with friendly people . − Providing breakfast would be a huge plus. The hallway was a little musty and hot, but air conditioning worked well in the room. The main door to the second bulding where our room was could have been marked a little better, and perhaps been more welcoming, but that's a minor concern and an easy fix.

Ok + Good price, clean, friendly staff − Extremely loud air conditioner Some bizarre renovations, bathroom door doesn't close it's just a rolling door. The light switch is outside the bathroom and is blocked by the door when it's open. Shower also doesn't have a door, a half wall getting water on the floor.

Do not recomand this hotel + Rien − Pictures don't match the reality of the rooms. Dirty, hairs in the bathtub, very old hotel, lots of humidity and mold, the carpet is very old and dirty, the bathroom has the bare minimum: 2 tiny soaps and a miniature bottle of shampoo. The bed is not comfortable at all and the air conditioning is too much noisy. We had a bad night. To get to the pool, you have to go outside, walk across the street, and cross the parking lot to get into another building and swim in a basic pool, an old hot tub. There are towels at the pool though, the only good thing. No breakfast, but there’s a Tim Hortons a 1-minute walk away; the surrounding pizzerias are low quality. Bad experience, I wouldn’t go back and I don’t recommend this hotel.

+ The bathroom was amazing! Clean, fantastic shower head. Good towels and cool mirror that lights up. − As soon as we walked in the hallway to our room, the odor of urine was insanely strong. Beds were horrible. You could literally feel the springs in bed. The manager did not deal with our situation very well. We stayed one night and wanted our money back for the other 2 nights. Won't ever be coming back!

Well done for a rural town hotel + Chose it for its access to an indoor pool and its town locality. Pool was clean and well set up , staff were very friendly and close to all town amenities was great. Hotel bar and restaurant was not too expensive and good selection of food. − Maybe some added toiletries - soap/shampoos may have helped for 2 guests.
