A Good Night Sleep. + My sister and I was traveling and we needed a hotel room to stop at on the first leg of our trip. My made the reservation around 7pm for a 10pm check in after a three hour drive. We were able to check in with no problem.

+ Beautiful area. If you're not into gambling (especially at night), it would be great if other options were available. I did appreciate the live entertainment, which would be incredible if they expanded on that feature.

Good room and casino. + Good room. I was there for 2 nights over a weekend. Room was very clean and comfortable. Lake view was worth it. The casino was fun and the grounds are nice for walking around. I don’t play golf but people seemed to like that too. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious. My only complaint is breakfast was awful. They couldn’t make scrambled eggs or real potatoes. Coffee was also terrible. I will stay again but probably drive somewhere else for breakfast.

+ Upon arrival, I was walking in with two small kids and my elderly mother while carrying all our bags from the parking lot. There was no bellhop or staff at the door to help, which was disappointing. When I checked in, our room wasn’t ready, so we had to sit in the lobby surrounded by our luggage. The only open restaurant was on the opposite side of the resort, but we couldn’t leave our bags unattended. I was told to check back every 30 minutes to see if our room was ready, even though we were sitting right in front of the front desk. It would’ve been much better customer service if the staff had checked for us. Once the room was finally ready, we dropped our things off and went to get food for the kids. After walking across the property, we were seated but waited about 8 minutes before anyone came by. When I asked for something quick like a hot dog, I was told it would take 25 minutes—too long since we had to meet someone—so we left. It’s clear this resort is designed more for adu…

+ Parking is horrible for hotel guests. There's no dedicated parking for paid guests. It's shared with golfers and casino visitors. You may have to carry your luggage for quite a distance. Our room was spacious, but the amenities were minimal. Shampoo, and body wash wash there but not enough for two people for a day. The tissue box had approximately 10 tissues in the box. The toilet paper roll was almost empty when we arrived. In addition, there were unknown extra fees upon check-in. We will never stay here again.

Great stay and wonderful fall trip. + This is the 4th or 5th stay at Rocky Gap. As always we had a wonderful time. Finally made the right weekend to get fall color. Of course this year has not been an exceptional year for color but it was very beautiful. We took the Western Maryland Railroad up to Frostburg and was able to get some wonderful fall foliage pictures. Staff at Rocky Gap were great, our host Thaddeus was exceptional along with my favorite waiter Robby. Made the best drinks and always had a smile. Will be back.

Disappointing. + This place is gross. I reserved a lake view suite. The view was beautiful but the windows were filthy. The sink filled with water before draining, the lighting was poor, a lamp was broken, and we were chasing ladybugs on the walls. The furniture is old. The entire place needs a renovation. Our room was not cleaned. I was told later that I should have requested daily cleaning at check-in! Covid precautions ended four years ago. That’s what I pay for - daily cleaning! I want the bed made, bathroom cleaned, and fresh towels. It didn’t happen. If you want to spend the day in the “revitalized” downtown Cumberland area, forget it. Shops are boarded up and the few remaining are classified as “collectibles”. In other words, junk. No tourists, and the people walking the streets are sketchy. Overall, not a good weekend experience. Disappointing.

"Resort" has beautiful views and not much else + Having had a wonderful camping experience in the adjacent campground on our way westward, we decided upon our return to experience the "luxury" of the park's Casino, Resort, and Golf facility. We neither golf nor gamble, but a night in a "resort" lodge seemed attractive after weeks of winter camping. Not! The welcome at the desk was fine. We asked for a quiet room with a view of the lake; the assigned room had that and more. And less. Everything went downhill from there. We were surprised that there was a fridge, but no microwave. That drove us to the lounge and dining room, which were pleasantly staffed and quiet, though offerings were not "resort" quality. We decided to try the pool and hot tub. They were nice enough, though the hot tub is designed to have only soft bubbles rather than the usual "jets." Location great/Cleanliness -5/10 + Yikes. We have stayed many times. Sadly the property has gone from 3 stars to 2. Maybe worse - but overall these may be one-offs. The safe in room didn't work. Security said it was an old "beige" model & they couldn't fix. Toilet overflowed 2x. Housekeeping says any rooms above 3rd floor are gravity drains...very common. Crew ready within minutes with carpet cleaners for room & hallway...clearly not first rodeo & yuck...habitual dirty water :( But: between our bed sheets there was a single worn tennis sock. OMG. Sleeping on top of blankets now! (Asked for towels to replace the ones we used for toilet overflow. Washcloth had two marks of lipstick. Ewww.) We imagined housekeeping would have caught that but geesh. What had really transpired here? NOT. GOOD.

A wonderful stay + Usually, when I travel, I read the worst reviews and best reviews about the property. I’m in the hospitality industry myself so I understand how important reviews can be for a property. I have to say that our experience here was exceptional. I was traveling with my 90 and 91 year-old parents And everybody was extremely helpful. We were greeted with a smile and all of our request for a table close to the front door and a room close to the elevator were honored I own a restaurant and a large bed-and-breakfast. I have to say that the food exceeded my expectations after reading some of the reviews everything was hot and generous portions and quite tasty we had dinner and breakfast and their restaurant. The rooms were very comfortable and clean and well appointed the front desk. Staff were top notch a special thank you to Lisa. Both of our servers in the restaurant were exceptional. I will definitely return in the summer.!

STAY AWAY ! + Before this casino was bought up by Century, I faired pretty well. In the first half of 2025, and years prior, I took in many, many 800.00 payouts from the Keno machines. And a total of 11,416.00 in reportable winnings during the first half of 2025. Century bought it up, and SNAP, machines have been tight tight tight. They simply take take take. I'm a local, so I'm there often enough to walk around the casino most nights, just people watching. I like to see people win. But no one leaves that place happy. anymore. And for good reason. No one wins anymore. They all regret going there. Some leave absolutely angry, because an experienced player knows what they've been subjected to, and that they're the ones who have been played. One example of my recent experiences with Century (Rocky Gap Casino) is that I lost 300.00 just trying to hit a 2 spot on Keno. The odds of hitting a 2 spot in Keno are 1:15. I spent 300.00 at a rate of 25 cents per play. That's 1200 plays for 25 cen…

Complete disgrace + Spending hundreds of dollars on a room, and even more at the casino and not being able to get a drink in a reasonable amount of time is a joke. If you expect people to sit there and gamble their money away, the bare minimum is having a bartender at the bar at all times. Waiting 15 minutes just to get a drink is unacceptable and frankly a disgrace for a casino. You’re happy to take my money, but can’t staff the bar properly? Do better.

Great middle of the week getaway! + My wife and I had a great time at the resort! Room was very clean and bed was very comfortable. The sandwiches in the restaurant were very good. All the employees we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Look forward to visiting again.

Very disappointed tonight 😞 + Signatures bar and grill was over an hr wait for food tonight and the fish was so awful and cold fries and the nachos where awful...and the people behind us waiting on there food and we waited an hr and they waited like 1hr more I never waited that long there before .I just hope I don't get sick 🤢 tonight from the food...The casino is a joke anymore u can't win and if u do it's very little ...and u can't even hear the music at all...sorry to say this place has went down hill ....so sad it used to be a fun place to go not anymore 😔
