Relaxing time in a Yurt + This was my first time in a Yurt. It was an interesting experience. The location is nice. There were some nice lotus flowers in the pond.

It was the perfect ending for our new zealand trip! + The location was amazing! the property is really really lovely and we walked around it and visited all the animals. Eileen was an amazing host and explained us everything. the yurt was cozy and the hot tub outside in the evening was relaxing and perfect for our last two days in new zealand. we had a nice breakfast in the morning outside in the sun looking over the pond.

+ The Yurt was super cool and very atmospheric, set in a beautiful idyllic scene, it was a really lovely experience. Shonie (sorry if i spelled your name wrong) was also super lovely, helpful, and accommodating. − 4 flaws that stood out to us that does not justify how much the accommodation costed. Accommodation was awesome but not for the price due to these flaws: 1) there's only 2 power points that were only powerful enough to charge phones or power a lamp. Using a hair dryer would instantly switch off the power for the yurt. 2) The shower was hot for one minute then cold for the rest, had to turn it off and wait in the shower for hot water to get going again. Must be a setting or something. We ended up just doing cold water showers after 1 minute of hot water. 3) The Yurt was not very clean, there was dust in corners and under the bed which was obvious when we sat in the recliners. 4) there were rubbish from previous guests such as empty beer cans, empty shampoo and face wash bottl…

peaceful refreshing rural farm stay in comfortable yurt accommodation + a very special and unique place to stay, very authentic rustic farm stay in the most comfortable yurt accommodation.. I felt like I was having a real break from every day life and had the best sleep ever after an amazing soak in the wood fired hot tub under the stars and listening to the night birds. The yurt was quiet and well appointed and the adjoining bathroom and kitchen had everything I needed. The loveliest breakfast was supplied with locally made sausages, local honey, free range farm eggs, bread and muesli. There is a gas BBQ and all the other power is either solar, gas or wood fired I went for a nice run in the morning enjoying great views of the ruatangata landscape and met the gorgeous friendly hosts. I would totally recommend this accommodation as a place to reset solo or as a couple - and I see they have accommodation options here for groups eg weddings − Cannot fault this place but definitely do …

My new favourite spot + The cozy vibe and the quiet was my favourite part. The whole thing is extremely well set up and the spa was excellent. The host was super responsive when I messaged through the app and everything was set up prior to arrival (including the fires, which were already roaring for both the spa and the yurt). The host even left a bunch of breakfast goodies for free (local bacon, local free range eggs, homemade yogurt, granola, bread, jams, etc). They were very hands-off unless you ask for help to which I really appreciated. It's a excellent stay-cation spot if you live in Whangārei, only 20 minutes from town and the perfect setting if you want somewhere close by to relax and reset. All the ammenities were easy to use and more than suitable for our needs. There's plenty of space in the yurt for a cot and fire has a fireguard so this would be a really good get away for a young family.
