But travelling down from QLD arriving around 3.30; no want meet or great myself ,my brother went to hotel to collect key and was told other arrangements are in place . Had to get an another place in Portland. Had trouble using key pad and owner expressed his sorrow. Not good enough didn’t give a s…. Took my money though.

Over all a very pleasant stay. + The property was exactly as described and were as we had viewed in the photographs. A remote location with beautiful coastal views to explore, though the best view from this particular accommodation is when standing in the shower. − Unfortunately for the time of year (February) the sand flies were a problem and care was needed to avoid bites. On the first morning we discovered that there was no frying pan to cook the provided breakfast. I contacted the owner through text which I received response 1 1/2 hours later and a phone call which was not answered so it was 2 hours passed when the cleaner arrived with a pan later in the morning.

Beautiful, peaceful and amazing experience. + Beautiful Cottage - was a step back in time but with all the modern amenities. Amazing view of the lighthouse and walks. Kangaroos relaxing on the front lawn. It was a wonderful experience- could have stayed a week.

A great experience and very helpful host + The location is stunning − The annexe is at the rear of the building so no lighthouse views from the house

− That said, in a place like this, you also have to accept certain less pleasant aspects: the area is infested with jumbo flies that stick to you and prevent you from enjoying the patio in front of the cottage, whose garden is littered with wallaby droppings... It's all part of the journey... Forget also about Wifi...

+ Beautifully restored heritage building in a seemingly remote location by the Cape Nelson lighthouse but only 15 mins from Portland. The views were spectacular from the lighthouse and there were walking trails directly outside. Isabella's Cafe was also at the location and offered a limited menu including very tasty vegetarian and meat lasagne my husband and I had for dinner one night (made takeaway for us before they closed that afternoon). There was a full compact kitchen if you wanted to prepare your own meals and included a pod coffee machine with milk crema. This was the perfect place for a romantic getaway with a cosy sitting room with gas fireplace and plenty of heating options for the remaining rooms as well as blankets for snuggling up on the couch. − Countless Portuguese millipedes (harmless) that invaded the bathroom.

Beautiful place, beautifully maintained, unique/spectacular location, great service from hosts − Lack of Wifi, we had no internet connection for the duration of our stay which was a bit stressful given we were away from our toddler for the first time.

A quiet and comfortable stay on an historical site that was unique for us. + We arrived and there was a mix up about the Annex which we had booked. Very quickly it was sorted out and we had a lovely night in the Sunset Cottage. − Initially we could not get the code pad to light up to open the Annex door.

We love coming to cape Nelson been a few times and will come back yet won’t rebook this particular cottage + Location is unbeatable amazing − Listings says this particular cottage has a bath it doesn’t. There was a stain on the bed sheet when we arrived.

Lovely weekend! + Loved the location. Cozy house. − Electric blankets on the beds would have been nice. Arriving at night meant the house hadn’t warmed up by bedtime and it was freezing.
