Love the hacienda but it needs some TLC + Rafael was great. The grounds are beautiful and the pool area and bar are very inviting. − Very dated. Beyond the hacienda style, which is fine, the wifi is patchy, bathroom is very dated, no hand towels, TV is the size of my laptop screen, fridge didn't work. We arrived at 630pm and it felt abandoned (besides ourselves and Rafael). Restaurant was closed ( but we were offered to open it).

Een aanrader als je Uxmal bezoekt. + Prachtige omgeving.

Love staying at the Uxmal Hacienda but the price needs to be lowered significantly or the rooms refreshed. + The staff is wonderful and the location for visiting Uxmal is great. The hacienda has so much history and the grounds are beautiful. − The rooms need a redo for the price. The faucet in our bathroom was wonky. The pillows are old and lumpy, and the mattresses could use a topper to soften the feel.

I’d make alternate accommodation plans when visiting Uxmal + Location of the hotel is great - just across the street from the Mayan site. The history of the hacienda and decor is fun to read about and experience. The staff were friendly and polite. − Sadly, we had a lot of complaints about our stay. I wanted to like this place but did not. We had booked a particular room (at a premium rate) and were informed a day before arrival that was not available. We were given a lesser room and we asked for the price to be lowered, but were given dinner vouchers instead. The reason for the room switch was because a large conference was taking place at the hotel. I’m guessing the conference people took “our” booked room. The conference people stayed up until midnight that night with a loudspeaker, music and games - it was incredibly loud. It seemed clear that the conference came first in the hotel’s estimation and other guests just had to put up with it. I think the hotel should have emailed all …

+ We've stayed here in the past as well. Lovely piece of history, very comfortable rooms and the staff is very welcoming. − Sadly, the hotel did not have a lot of guests as a tour had canceled, so the onsite restaurant was closed. Breakfast was included and we went to the Lodge at Uxmal. Which was fine as it is right at the entrance to Uxmal.

Ontbijt was zeer beperkt. Was zeer duur voor wat geboden werd.

So much potential! + We actually did not stay at the hotel we originally booked. Due to too few bookings at Hacienda Uxmal Plantation, we were moved to The Lodge instead. In many ways, this worked out very well. The location is excellent, right next to the entrance to Uxmal and very close to the Chocolate Museum, making it possible to enjoy a magical early-morning visit to the archaeological site before it gets busy. The Lodge has a beautiful, relaxed setting, with large wooden buildings surrounding a group of very well-maintained pools. It perhaps does not have quite the historical atmosphere we had expected from the Hacienda, but it is still a very attractive property. Our room was reasonably spacious and had a particularly nice bathroom. There is also quite a bit of small wildlife around the grounds, which adds to the tropical atmosphere. There were relatively few guests during our stay, creating a wonderfully peaceful and relaxed feeling. Staff were generally very nice and f…
