Could be better + Good location − Booked a suite for the money it cost would expect a small fridge in the room and a small safe also only one small shower gel provided. For the money paid I would expect a lot better

Fanastic location, beautiful rooms. I felt like royalty. + Loved the location, the room was outstanding, a meal in the restaurant was delicious, staff were friendly and polite. − For one of the nights the room price shot up really high.

Very poor value for money + Location is superb, quite magical. Staff are helpful and friendly. − Bathrooms are a disgrace. Basically a caravan pod. Shoddy bedrooms in need of a facelift. Very basic in room facilities. No water / glasses / hot chocolate / biscuits as you’d expect for £300 a night B&B. Restaurant food poor. It’s like hotel restaurants used to be 40 years ago and not in a good way.

Beautiful location but disappointing stay. + Location! − Needs updating, even given its age and history. Although I knew I had the tiniest basic room, I was not prepared for the cupboard of a room and uncomfortable bed that I was given. The bathroom is a plastic cube like inside a caravan…. Slippery floor and too small to use the shower. Disappointing moor views turned out to be a window over the carpark. I was situated next to the cleaning cupboard which meant it was noisy and dark.

A must see and a must stay!!! We will return and am sure we will fall in love with the castle again. + Location. Phenomenal views. Awesome staff and owner! Best rooms. Romantic setting. − The bar used very small pours, smallest I have seen. Breakfast quality and dinner quality great but again small portions.
