Lovely to be honest. Definitely will go again. Brian and the other guy were great + Staff couldn’t do enough for you. Good size room and very clean. Value for money − Tv too small, no bin in toilet which I said about as we left as only stayed over night and staff where so sorry and taking note

Overnight break to attend an event. Ideal for what we needed. + Location was very good, just a small walk to city centre. On site parking a bonus too! − Not much TBH, it’s a budget stay. Lovely property, could do with a bit of investment to protect for future generations.

A Nice Step Back in History + The Castle House Hotel is a quaint lodging located in Canterbury. The building dates back to 1730 and it is steeped in history. Across the street are the ruins of a Roman castle. The main selling point was that this property includes parking, something which is both scarce and expensive in this area. I recommend that you arrive at check-in time since the parking lot is small. The property is an easy 5-10 minute walk to the center of town with a lot of dining and activities. There are 2 rooms on the ground floor and a few more 1 flight up. There is no elevator, so if you have accessibility issues, book early. The room was cozy and clean. As with all properties in this area, there is no air conditioning, and with temperatures hovering around 80 deg F / 27 deg C all week in July, it was hot in the room. A small fan provided some minimal, but noisy relief. The continental breakfast was disappointing – a few choices of cold cereal and some meats, and not muc…
