Great location near the cathedral + Great location right in the town with parking. The rooms are a good size. Rooms at the front are noisy on a Saturday night though! We had to leave very early in the morning and they made sure that there was breakfast for us! Thanks you. − Bit tired round the edges but it’s a decent price so you expect that.

Lovely old world charm + Right by the cathedral. Old world charm. Lovely dining facilities. Clean. Bike storage. − Bed was ok but a little soggy. Not being able to charge my ebike.. I understand the reasons that hotels are cautious about charging bikes although the risk is modified bikes not purpose made ones. An outside plug would be a compromise, even if it meant sitting in the courtyard with a beer while it charged. Luckily the area round Ely is flat!

Friendly and welcoming central based hotel + Location is central and good for all Ely attractions. The car park is safe within the hotel although only takes about 15 cars and need to negotiate Ely one way systems. Staff were really friendly and helpful and breakfast was excellent - range of choices all well cooked. We knew this hotel 20 years ago and it really has improved. Good priced accommodation. - we would stay again. − The radiator to dry towels just didn’t work. Drinking glass in bathroom was dirty - still full of someone else’s toothpaste!

The hotel provided a comfortable convenient stay with all staff approachable and friendly + We liked very mich that the hotel accommodated us on the ground floor even though they had to turn a double bed into twin for our requirements The location was spot on being close to a venue where we were attending a family ceremony and get together − Difficult to pinpoint except perhaps more of a choice for lighter meals

Well located and good value for money + Thr staff were very helpful and friendly and the food was good..plenty of choice and generous portions. The bed was very comfortable with good bedlinen and the room well insulated against road noise. It is ideally placed for the Cathedral and visiting Ely − Internally the hotel is a bit noisy with creaking floors and noise of plumbing but it eventually quietens down. The decor is very plain and functional but ok for one night. A bottle of water and a couple of biscuits in the room would help.

Very nice place friendly and effiecient staff great location + Nice big room good facilities in hotel generally and great central location with free car parking all much appreciated − There is no sound proofing and very creaky ceiling jn bedrooms so a lot of noise from bedroom above when occupants speak or walked about unless on top floor but very old building so maybe not possible to prevent

Comfortable but too expensive and a bit noisy in the annexe. + Breakfast ok but be better if we could help ourselves. Staff were friendly. Good service. − The room was directly on the car park snd there was some noise early morning. I booked a double room but ended up with snow accessible wet room which did not seem easy to negotiate. Room too hot even though there was a fan. We thought it was far too expensive, we h as be stayed there : times before but considering it’s not London be area it is an outrageous price. No breakfast included, either.

Great location + Perfect location near the cathedral. Room comfortable and really clean with good facilities. A good breakfast choice in the morning as well. − Prefer a walk-in shower, but the over-bath one worked well.
