If considering to experience an authen ryokan experience in Osaka area, Nanten-en has all you need — the tranquility, no + Everything! We stayed in the private ryokan/room with an outdoor onsen. The Japanese garden is so tranquil and your body will thank you. And the kaiseki dinner and the breakfast they served are all meccha oishii~! It was definitely the highlight of our trip! − Nothing!

Unique authentic Japanese experience + Beautiful property and truly unique experience. Staff were exceptional and location was amazing. Very easy to find. Onsen was lovely too. Food was outstanding. − Tatami Mattresses were thin, as expected. For a peaceful location lots of noise from train, station birds and room we had light streamed in so up super early. But it was still worth it.

A magically calm peaceful oasis + The English gentleman went above and beyond when we left a ring and ran ( very fast ) up the hill to the train to return it to us how very kind very much above and beyond . − Nothing it is a peaceful oasis

Vegan friendly and tattoo tollerant (try to visit the onsen in off times when others aren’t there). + Amazing location, right by the train, less than an hour from Osaka, but with a remote feeling. After a week of very city-heavy travel, this was a much needed break. Vegan meals were incredible and they are open to tattoos in the onsen if you can try to go when no one else is there, which was not hard for me to do.

+ The traditional cuisine kaiseki. The hotel building and garden. The rural surrounding. − Nothing bad but the onsen is really small without outside bath rotenburo.

Cena e colazione ottime.
