Wonderful stay, highly recommend + We had a fantastic time here. The rooms and pool area are immaculate. The Team work incredibly hard here and could not have been more helpful. Our room was cleaned every day and sheets and towels changed regularly. The food served is of a good standard and they do cracking cocktails. Could not have asked for more. Thank you to Manos and the crew for helping us have a brilliant holiday.

Lovely, small, friendly and fun taste of Crete hospitality + I love this place. It’s in the beautiful location of sissi. It’s small but with a really beautiful large pool and gardens and a bar that serves food and drinks all day and into the early hours. Wonderful cocktails and nice food available all day. Apartments are very comfortable with nice balconies and good kitchens. The family that run the place are so welcoming and so hard working. It makes for a lovely holiday. There are lots of bars and tavernas to walk to. A few minutes walk takes you to the harbour where you can have a lovely swim in the sea with fish swimming around you. Great views of the sunset from the harbours bars. You can’t really get buses from here, but you can do excursions and there’s a happy train (which was fun), or hire a car easily.

Special Gyro Boy + This place is a mixed bag. The pool area is absolutely perfect; crystal-blue water and almost obsessively clean. The family who run it are, like other reviews have pointed out, very hard-working and always strive to keep you happy. The apartments are basic, but serve their purpose adequately, so no complaints there. There is a warming, convivial atmosphere around the pool with the other guests, who respect your privacy but readily offer a hello and a bit of chat. There are several downsides as well unfortunately. The food available is rather basic, and for the sake of a few Euros more, you'd be better off going into Sisi (several days in a row no pasta was on offer, without any real explanation). Moreover, when we asked to split our tab for the bar at the end of our stay (as 4 young working men reasonably would), we were met with a rather blunt demand it be paid in full by one person; seeing as you can't view a breakdown of your bill, and how much you've spent on …

Fantastic stay, highly recommend + We loved our stay at this hotel. Such a beautiful part of Crete. The hotel is family run and everyone works so hard. Lovely clean apartments which are cleaned regularly. The pool area is fantastic, no fighting over sunbeds as there are plenty. The pool is warm and you can just walk in comfortably. Manos works so hard and never stops. Billy's cocktails are amazing and loved being the guineapig for these. Food here was lovely. Such a friendly atmosphere here and we have booked to return next year. Sissi is a beautiful place, amazing views of the sunset from the Harbour. Cant wait to come back.

Super stay + After all the great reviews could not wait to Visit The Marigianna Apartments in Sissi, and the reviews were bang on...Arrived late on Monday 5th of August and was quickly checked in by Manos , a lovely lovely man , then headed straight to the lovely poolside bar and welcomed by Vassilias with a cool beer...well the next 14 days were super.Brilliant relaxed atmosphere were sunbeds are never an issue.Vassilas and Sky word hard at the pool bar and restaurant and Manos is always busy with the upkeep of the whole place. Position wise excellent only a short stroll to the beautiful harbour were there are plenty of restaurants with super sea views..I would highly recommend the apartments and resort.. Thank you to Manos and family for looking after us so well. We will be back

Review from my 8 year old daughter Connie + Marigiana has been mind blowingly amazing. 1. The staff work super hard and are very kind at the same time. 2. The rooms are nice and clean and have lots of comfy beds. 3. There is a refreshing pool to play/relax in and quite often when people go home they leave there inflatables behind for everyone else to play on. 4. At the pool area, there is a pool table and air hockey that the pool table is 2 euros and the air hockey is 1 euro. 5. There are sun loungers for you to lie on and a climbing frame over on the grass You should definitely come here!

Nice place, just don’t get on wrong side of barman! + Small peaceful quiet location set a little back from the harbour. So always sunbeds, never queues at the pool bar. Fabulous clean pool side toilets. Small apartment (not being negative just factual) I think this is typical in Greece basic too and for Self catering there was a kettle, fridge, with small freezer two hobs and couple of saucepans. Didn’t matter to us as we ate out mainly and the pool food bar is lovely with great cocktails. There’s tonnes of restaurants around even tho sissi is small, with a fabulous t shirt shop round the corner, and two supermarkets. We had one air-conditioning unit in our one bedroom apartment which worked fine however we kept the bedroom door open so that the air-conditioning would flow into the lounge area where our children slept. Everything worked well, but the shower water does go all over the bathroom floor. No big deal as dried the floor mat out on the line daily in the sunshine. Lovely cle…

Kitchenette a little basic and might benefit from toaster and coffee machine but not particularly an issue as we enjoy eating out

Lovely weeks holiday + Lovely stay here. The staff are exceptional including the owner. It’s very clean and organised. Food is nice and drinks are reasonably priced. 5 minute walk to the bay where there’s plenty of restaurants and bars also reasonably priced. Supermarket is 2 minute walk away. Only things I would say is there is no hairdryer, iron or microwave. For self catering apartment it’s extremely basic equipment. You have a 2 ring hob and two small pans, kettle and fridge. The pool was perfect. Cleaned every day and the perfect temperature. Plenty of Sunbed’s all day. You can use any pool in any of the resorts in the area as long as you eat and drink at their bar. This does mean you meet a variety of people as well as the guests in the apartments. The owners dog is an absolute bonus and likes to guard the perimeter. Very friendly and would definitely stay again.

Well maintained apts in a quiet location + Arrived quite late at night and the taxi driver showed us to our room. Dumped the cases and went to the bar for a night cap to be told we would have to move room in 3 days as that's not the room we have paid for, OK no probs, had no offer of help to move our cases etc. Talking to other guests it's a common occurrence, some even being put in apts down the road which were practically uninhabitable. There is no courtesy room you can pay for on your departure day so bare that in mind when looking at flight times. The apts are in a nice quiet location with a great cocktail bar at the end of the road juniper bar. The rooms are quite spacious, with kitchenette that's very basic, could do with a toaster. No hairdryer. The shower is good and hot but typically greek so floods the floor.( some rooms have a shower over a bath). The mattress was like concrete but I slept quite well on it. Arrive as a guest & leave as a friend + Our holiday at Marigianna apartments was amazing. Located up a track far enough away from the hustle & bustle but close enough to walk to the many tavernas & shops, it is in an ideal location. Ok the rooms might be basic but they do the job, they had everything we needed, they were clean & we spent very little time in them. The pool/outdoor area is a great place to chill, to catch the rays, enjoy a drink or two & there plenty of sunbeds, no morning scramble here. We were self catering but had breakfast most days, it was very tasty, a fair price & served by very friendly staff. In fact everyone was friendly, staff & other guests alike. If you like to arrive as a guest but leave as a friend & not a number, then you should visit Marigianna, you won’t be disappointed. The only disappointment we had was not seeing Manos on our last day to say goodbye. On our arrival he made us so welcome we would have loved to thank him before leaving, so I …

Amazing place to holiday! + This is an amazing place for a family holiday. It’s in a perfect location, far enough away from the hustle and bustle but literally a 5-10 minute walk to all the local tavernas and shops. The apartments are basic but more than sufficient. The whole place is exceptionally clean, the rooms were cleaned daily and fresh bedding and towels provided regularly. The food is spot on and Billy’s cocktails are amazing! There are sunbeds a plenty and a fantastic pool! All of the staff cannot do enough for you. We had such a good time, we’ve booked to go back next year!

Amazing Holiday at MariGianna + We've just had a fantastic ten day holiday here! This was our 7th holiday to Sissi, but MariGianna is definitely the best place we have stayed - and we've already booked to come back next year! I only wish we'd found you sooner. Thank you so much to Manos, Billy, and all the staff. The breakfast each day was lovely, the swimming pool and outside areas are beautiful (you will never be short of space or a sunbed!), and the apartments and all areas are kept meticulously clean. The MariGianna is perfectly situated in Sissi for the harbour, tavernas, bars, shops, bus stops, the Happy Train, and for generally getting out and about. Thank you also to Hera for the cuddles! We couldn't have asked for more from our stay, and we really look forward to seeing you next year!

Wonderful place! + Would definately recommend Marigianna. A lovely small family run hotel in an excellent location within the beautiful Sissi. The staff that work there are so kind and friendly and genuinely wanted us to have the very best stay. The rooms are basic but clean. Small shower and small balcony. Don’t expect what you would from a 4* resort in Spain as it is different - but we knew this and were more than happy so no complaints. We had everything we needed. Had to pay for aircon and glad we did as this was a necessity. The pool and bar area is lovely. Plenty of different seating areas and never too busy. Felt comfortable sitting down there at any time of day or night. You take the sunbeds yourself and choose where you want them, so no such thing as sunbed wars and plenty of space to put wherever you want. Beautiful, friendly, great stay. + We absolutely loved the MariGianna Apartments. The room was clean and tidy and the maid did an ace job of cleaning it every day. We had a nice balcony looking out over the sea! We were greeted by Manos for check in and he was lovely. His son Vasilis was oir daily point of contact and he was an absolut legend throughout! Super nice guy and he makes some world class cocktails (if you're super nice to him you might just discover the non-tourist list! 🧐). The outside of the hotel, pool area etc are beautiful. The mountain views, pool, bar, and whole surround grounds are just stunning. Location wise it's perfect. Off the main road so no noise, but within a couple of minutes to the first bar, and sub 10 minute walk to the main harbour of Sissi and all the restaurants. Wouldn't hesitate to go back or recommend.

Hotel stay in crete what was brilliant + All I can say about our holiday here was brilliant. Went as a family of 4 and everything about our stay here we wouldn't change. Hotel location wise fantastic little walk down to the harbour with all the shops and restaurants you need. Manos Billy and all the staff so friendly can't do enough for you the pool and bar are spot on never struggle for a sun bed will definitely return one day and never done that before

Peaceful Week Away + Manos and his family are lovely, helpful and very friendly. Marigiana Apartments are modern , well located apartments in Sissi. The apartments are a little basic inside, but you can expect this in Greece. The only real complaint I had was that the beds were very hard, so much so the bed gave me a terrible bad back.
