A warm friendly welcome, beautiful buildings & grounds, a lovely place to stay when travelling solo or with friends + The lovely wildlife walks around the grounds − Bathrooms a little dated

+ Good location, outside town and a few miles from the venue we were attending. The bar area was comfortable and well decorated. The dining rooms, although a little dated were clean and spacious with lovely views across a garden. − 1st night the room was too hot, we we're given a fan, which helped. We were woken several times by slamming doors and the 5.30am milk delivery as our small room was above Reception, at the front of the hotel and car park. Windows in the room were single pane and need attention as the frames and the outside window sills were peeling and looked rotten. A tired hotel. The breakfast was served in bain Maries and the food was barely warm

Really good stay, we'll be back. :) + Breakfast was plentiful and good quality with attentive and helpful staff. The surroundings are very pleasant and we enjoyed our walk in the grounds. Our room was comfortable. The reception staff went out of their way to ensure we had a good stay. Plenty of parking. − Parking was plentiful, although a bit higgledy-piggledy

Staff friendly and helpful, ideal . Unfortunately we didn't have time to experience all facilities . + Room and facilities very comfortable and suited our needs. Location was also ideal in respect of the event we were attending. − Nothing really as we were only staying overnight

+ Stunning location, great value, good food. Amazing customer service from a lady called Mandy in reception who kindly moved my room near my dads as hes unsteady on his feet and my room was originally located further away. She moved some rooms around so I could be closer to assist him − Both rooms the showers were quiet cold

Really enjoyed it staff were amazing x + Breakfast was fabulous, the staff were amazing Sunday lunch was delicious − Black mould round bath needs attention, otherwise everything was perfect. A little dissapointed the swimming pool had been removed
