Calm, quiet, and within walking distance of a long weekend of activities! + Check in after hours was simple and easy instructions were provided. The room was everything we needed, and we received a complimentary upgrade, which was very thoughtful. Our stay included breakfast, which was a small selection, but included everything we needed for a hearty breakfast. The owner, Nell, was kind, welcoming, and made us feel at home. It felt like a very personal experience, rather than your traditional stay at a hotel. − Thank you for including gluten-free options for breakfast, this was a welcome surprise. The one thing I would love to see is a separate toaster for GF only (to reduce cross-contamination), however, I recognise the difficulty in accommodating all dietary requests at a B&B.

New Farm stay + Excellent location for walking into the city, or taking the citycat. Quiet, relaxing neighborhood. Stylish interior, spacious room, very comfortable bed. Nell is an excellent hostess. Lovely breakfast. We especially loved sitting in the courtyard.

Lovely. + Loved the old-style charm and decor plus the convenience to the powerhouse and cafes. Fabulous shower with instant hot water. − Being right by the front door we heard every footstep and conversation of people entering and exiting the building.

Classy and affordable with a fantastic locale. + Friendly faces, beautiful kitchen / backyard setting and nice old style English cottage. − Difficult to find beds that are big enough, but I will simply book a queen size bed next time :)

It was very old, but comfortable. I don’t think any other rooms had the problem with that one had + It was in a great position. Bed was great. It was nice and clean. I only had one problem. − The shower was dangerous. Door couldn’t open outwards because the sink was in the road . it opened inwards and you were flat out getting your body around the door to get into the shower very illegal if you slept in there there was no way you could get out. would not stop in that room again.

Highly recommended place to stay when visiting Brisbane + We loved everything about the lodge from it's location to the decor and ambience of the entire lodge including our room which was spacious and overlooked a gorgeous courtyard. There was no road noise which is always a plus for us when we are choosing accommodation. Staff member Mel was delightful. Great breakfast room and continental breakfast offered a variety of choices. The location of the lodge provided easy access to public transport. We caught bus no.196 from just around the corner to the centre of Brisbane and returned on the City Cat disembarking at New Farm terminal. It was a short walk back to the lodge. Short stroll to new Farm restaurants. − Nothing

I would stay here again just to hear Nell sing. + NELL and BRUNO are ah-mazingly awesome! And that vegemite sandwich was worth the wait for me. − This is blank on purpose.

My overnight stay. + I loved my beautiful, comfortable well appointed room and the general atmosphere of Edward Lodge The manager and staff were outstandingly friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Breakfast was great. − My great regret was having to leave this wonderful little sanctuary away from home.
