A pleasant stay in Luang Prabang + We had a very pleasant stay in Luang Prabang. We communicated through WhatsApp our late check-in time so that the staff can still accommodate us when we check-in. The staff is very helpful and friendly - if you want to change USD to LAK, call for a tuktuk, ask for recommendations, the staff can help you! The location is quite far from the center, but surely the hotel is located on the quiet side of town. A bank and ATMs are just across the hotel as well as pharmacies and various food places. The breakfast will offer noodle soup of the day, bread and your choice of eggs. What made our stay in Lux memorable is that the monks pass by right in front of the hotel. We were able to experience alms giving to the monks (50,000LAK for a basket of sticky rice and some snacks), and the staff can help communicate with the locals/vendors for you. The pool was small and very nice for my small kids to play in. the balconies were nice and comfortable. − They converted the price from USD to Kip using a very high rate. The hit eater run out late at night.

Such a lovely relaxing stay! + The staff were so friendly, decent breakfast and such good value for money! The reception staff couldn’t be more helpful with booking trips and making us welcome! Rooms very clean and exactly what we needed! − It is slightly off the main area, but within a 20 minute walk you’re amongst it all and cabs are so cheap so this didn’t matter much at all! Would rather take the quiet and peaceful atmosphere if it means being a 5 minute drive from the centre!

Nice + Very nice room, but it was in the basement. Great breakfast. Free bicycles, easy to go into town. − The terrace was useless, since there are building construction going on next door (january 2025). The pool area is small, but ok, but due to the construction site next door, it was dusty and the pool not clean.

Very poor + This hotel gives false advertising. Most of the rooms are on the basement which they called the first floor. After much discussion they agreed to put us in one of the few rooms upstairs and then next day they demanded we had to move to the basement. We left. They also state online they are near the river and that’s not the case at all. Also they claim the hotel is close to centre and it’s very far. The staff are kind nevertheless and the breakfast was at best decent. The room was spacious and clean though they put us in the front on the busy street. Also where next door there is a huge amount of garbage refuse from the building next door. I don’t recommend this place and I rarely would advise as such. − Don't call the basement the first floor.

+ Un grand merci à toute l’équipe qui a été d’un accueil et d’une gentillesse incroyable ! L’hôtel est très propre et bien entretenu, à une quinzaine de minute à pied du centre ville. Nous venons souvent à Luang Prabang et nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux. Nous ne comprenons pas la note 7,7 / 10, il mérite bien bien plus !
