Great for a stopover from Wellington + Lovely welcoming hosts who provided details and a discount at a delicious local restaurant. Lots to do in the area and Bernie gave us great recommendations for our onward journey north via Taranaki Falls, Taupo and Haku Falls.

Idyllic Country Lodge + Large country lodge set in Ohakune complete with cosy rooms, magnificent grounds, guest lounge, spa and sauna. Breakfast was a selection of hot cooked and home-made delights. Bernie and Marie are wonderful hosts......so good we immediately booked our second stay. − Nothing

Lovely surroundings and accommodation for a recharge and long weekend away - pampered but secluded + Beautiful grounds, very peaceful, spacious room. nice decor, great breakfast, spa and sauna, tea/coffee & fresh milk with treats, very friendly local hosts. Lovely extra touches like electric blankets, bath robes, extra heating, heated towel rack (and night time port in the lounge room!) − Could only be improved by some fresh fruit in the room
