Misleading "Deluxe" + Staff are good people and they help you in everything you need. Easy parking spots. Well located − Advertised as “Deluxe” misleads customers to rent an overpriced ($160/night) standard old suite. There is nothing "deluxe" about it. I am posting photos with details they don’t advertise. - Shower with no door: The toilet gets wet - The toilet door does not seal property, so smell might get into the bedroom. - No heat pump that you can control when you want. There is a wall heater they turn on in a fixed scheduled time which might not fit the guest's routine. - The small fridge stays right beside the bed, making noises that wakes us up over the night. The place I live, an old 1965 house in Auckland does not have any of those issues, and it is just a simple standard house. This rooms should never be called "Deluxe".

Dated but comfortable + Although this hotel does need refurbishing the rooms were clean, comfortable and tidy. We had a small problem with our room and the staff were so accommodating, and nothing was to much trouble. It was good value for money and the location was walking distance to town. We would be happy to stay there again.

Perfect place to stay 👌 ✨️ + Such a great place to stay, excellent staff and so friendly super close to everything 😊 − Nothing at all it was great staying there, loved it ❤️

An okay place to stay the night. + Spacious room and bathroom. The front desk staff is very helpful. − The room's heating was replaced by a portable one but unfortunately seemed not enough to keep the room warm. Could use with a bit of aesthetic update.

+ Lounge facilities good though didn't use much. Not too far from the lake and town area. Complimentary breakfast offered 1 day as staying 3 nights. − Room quite small. Small defects on shower floor - probably something dropped. Strip around bath could do with being replaced in fact whole of bath and shower in need of replacement.

Avoid This Place + After an otherwise beautiful family holiday, this was easily the worst stop of our trip. Te Anau is a stunning place, but unfortunately this property was a huge disappointment. The service was extremely poor. There appeared to be staff at reception, but when we needed assistance and called from the room, getting a response was difficult. The room condition was also disappointing, with cleanliness and maintenance not meeting even basic expectations. The photos online give a much better impression than what we experienced in person. The property felt poorly managed, and the overall standard was far below what we expected from a hotel. I would strongly recommend checking other accommodation options before booking here.

Poor Management and No Accountability + We had multiple issues during our stay and repeatedly contacted reception, but no real solution was provided and we were unable to speak with a manager. After checking the hotel information cards, I contacted the listed hotel manager and property manager directly. Despite sending the details of our experience and a follow-up reminder, there was no response or even a basic acknowledgement. The lack of ownership and communication appears to be a management issue from top to bottom. Very disappointing experience.

Excellent + Very clean & comfortable − Your hot beverage selection was no good, i could not dink anything. Hotel looked very tired when we first arrived but entered our rooms and was very surprised
