The remoteness of the property and the dysfunctional layout override the property’s charms. + No breakfast was served. Access was by a 9km 1-lane gravel road. − The house is older and very rustic. Not without its charms, but dysfunctional. The bathroom that serves both the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms is only accessible by going up or down a flight of stairs.

Great place for relaxing holiday in Icelandic countryside. + Charming old country house on a farm with cows and horses, with enormous private garden, beautiful view over the fjord where we could see whale blowing and eagle flying above and lot of other birds. Very quiet location seven kilometers from the main road. We could walk by the beach and grandchildren play freely in the nature. Special bonus that the children where aloud to help the farmers gathering the cows and visit the farmhouses. Short drive to town Hvammstangi with great swimming pool, grocery store, museums and restaurants. Vatnsnes peninsula and Kolugljúfur canyon really worth visiting. The farmers Guðný and Jóhann very helpful and gave us good tips about the neighborhood.
