Great surroundings + The location is perfect, feel like you are in the woods, surrounded by wallabies. You can go for a walk and see them during the day with their little ones, enjoy a coffee at the terrace or taste very good wine. There is also a field with lavenders! − Don't go at the beginning of the week, as restaurant is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. There is nothing around it, so you do need a car. And if you are not a camping person, you need to know thst there is a lot of nature noise in the cabin and you probably meet with huge ants inside.

Avoid. Strange smell and AUD300 pre-auth charges which are proving difficult to get returned. + In most respects the place is fine. Location not near anything but perhaps that is the point and pavillions (rooms) are beside a lake which is nice enough. However, in winter the rooms are slightly damp with condensation on patio door glass and there was an awful sewer like smell (septic tanks not mains drainage) which you noticed when returning and which explains why when we checked in the side windows were open for ventilation - not great.... Worst of all which is just petty and annoying - possibly a routine scam to increase revenue since lots of people perhaps do not check their credit card statements, the hotel took TWO pre-authorisations of AUD150 (in error didn't take just one) each against my credit card in case we used the minibar which we had no intention and didn't. The hotel fully acknowledge we left the room immaculate and didn't use the minibar and tell me both pre-authorisa…

An impressive, beautifully presented property but avoid the food with the exception of breakfast. + The expansive grounds were beautiful and, being populated by hundreds of little Wallabies, was a wonderful immersive experience in Australiana. The pavilion was unique, private and clean. Breakfast was included in our package and was outstanding in both quantity, quality and therefore reflected excellent value. The winery and surrounding restaurant buildings are exceptional in their architecture and ambience. The staff, both in the restaurants, event venue, reception and housekeeping were exceedingly polite, friendly and well trained. This property is enormous and seems to cater for very large gatherings with ease. Overall, this property is very impressive. − In the course of a two-night stay, we dined at the Tuscan Terrace Restaurant and the wine and service were outstanding. Unfortunately, the whole baked Barramundi served as a shared meal was the smallest I had ever encountered and j…

A great experience was had by all and it was wonderful to have mobile reception. + It was so peaceful and a way to unwind, especially without TV. I loved all the animals and birds. Our accommodation was so comfy and spacious and fitted our needs perfectly. We live in a rural area of Bundaberg, so are used to animals and birds, but it was lovely to see birds that are not in our area. − I can't think of anything we didn't like.
