OK, but would not go back. + The property is well located for tourists. − Breakfast started at 8.30 which is too late if you are booked for tours which start around 8 to 8.30am. All controls were electronic which might be good for some, but we were an older couple and found them confusing.

Worst check in ever + The property was nice. Especially the jasmine bushes in front of our apartment − Welcoming was the worst! From that point on we felt very uncomfortable. They said they sent mails to finish the checking. I did not receive the ones they mentioned. I even showed my spam and regular mailbox and whatsapp messages from them. That is still not the horrible part. We were so tired and i told her, please let us get to our room first and do them there if possible, since it took her forever to find a way to send us the documents that needed to be signed. I found a solution at the end for her to send me documents through airdrop. They did not even had a hard copy of the documents! We came to the place earlier to leave our luggage and they could have done it by then as well. We had to do it late at night with all this hassle. Above all, while we were having troubles with this documents exchange, other guests came in and she chatted with them and helped them with their inquirie…

Amazing + We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa for 6 people. It was very comfortable, lots of space and clean. The fresh breakfast was great every morning and the staff was sooooooo accommodating and nice.

This boutique hotel provides the perfect place to explore Porto. After a day sightseeing you can relax by the pool befor + The property was very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were friendly and professional. The ambiance was very relaxed while maintaining a high quality of service. The atmosphere was welcoming friendly and made the stay very comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding, everything was made freshly , every morning you were greeted with a plate of fresh fruit cut up along with a local Portuguese sweet treat with fresh bread rolls. I would recommend booking this hotel and would return or look into booking their other hotels in other cities. It is situated about a 20 minute stroll from the Douro river which was perfect easy to access the tourist spots if you wish while providing a quiet retreat. The air conditioner was the quietest I’ve ever had in any hotel. − Nothing

We absolutely loved it! + Canto De Luz is central but very peaceful. It’s a beautiful hotel, the attention to detail is perfect, incredibly clean and so comfortable. Gorgeous room, garden and a lovely pool. What makes it more special are the fabulous staff, unbelievably helpful and kind. And the breakfasts are stunning. We couldn’t rate this place highly enough. Didn’t want to leave.

A brilliant hotel tainted by the checking process and excessive road noise very early on Friday morning. + The staff were great and the location for the city centre was good. The breakfasts were just right for the type of stay. The room was well equipped and nicely appointed with loads of light. − Unfortunately there was a serious mishap at check in which would have meant we were locked out of the hotel until the following morning. The emergency contact number did not work as it should have.
