    + Breakfast wasn’t great, some food didn’t look fresh, like it was from the day before. I’m not picky, but the options didn’t taste good. If I’d known, I wouldn’t have paid extra for it since I ended up skipping it some days to eat outside. Something in the room, whether the air conditioning or carpet, triggered constant allergies. My throat felt sore, I lost my voice, and I couldn’t breathe properly inside the hotel. I was fine outdoors, but the symptoms started as soon as I stepped into my room. It got so bad that I spent some nights at a friend’s house and was basically paying for a room just to store my bags. It was a 8-night stay, so I tried asking for a refund for the unused nights to book another property, as staying there was unbearable. Expedia approved a refund, but hotel didn’t, only offering to move me to another room, so that was my only option, as without the hotel approval, Expedia couldn’t release the refund.
