Revisit for seafood platter + We stayed at this hotel two years ago. In October 24 we came back to Wilderness and walked the beach back to Views for lunch. Really enjoyed the seafood again and a few Red Labels for me and a couple of glasses of wine for my wife. We had a window seat and had a couple of relaxing hours looking at the beach and ocean.

+ Property was a bit dated. But great area, nice rooms and good food.

Best room I have stayed in + Stayed in the penthouse which was absolutely amazing with fantastic ocean views. Everything was new and modern and the bathroom was stunning. Had a hiccough with the restaurant on the first night but the manager handled it so well and needs to be commended. Loved the heated indoor and outdoor pools.

Lovely family visit + We had a 2 night stay in December and felt very well cared for. The rooms were comfortable, spacious, had everything we needed and an incredible view from the balcony. We enjoyed the breakfast and appreciated the hot drinks brought to our room on waking. Pool on roof was fun. The spa was a little tired in areas and spa was booked up weeks in advance which was a shame.

Perfection + The Views is an amazing 5 star hotel. The views over the Indian Ocean are amazing. The rooms and bathrooms are very large and spotlessly clean. The bed was so comfortable, and large. The bathroom had great shower and a bath. Breakfast was superb. We also had a delicious 5 star dinner in the restaurant. The spa is lovely especially as it rained one afternoon while we were there. The are delightful. Don't miss this hotel.

Disappointed by The Views lack of empathy + Disappointed by The Views lack of empathy We were excited for our second stay at The Views from January 24–27, 2025, after a wonderful visit in March 2023. The setting is stunning, with breathtaking views of Wilderness Beach and the ocean. However, while flying to Cape Town on January 13, I suffered a serious back injury. Initially thought to be severe bruising, X-rays later confirmed a fractured vertebra, forcing us to return to New York for spinal surgery. We reached out to all our booked accommodations in South Africa, explaining the medical emergency. Every property—except The Views—graciously canceled without penalty. The Views, requested medical evidence which was provided. Despite this, The Views refused any flexibility, citing a strict cancellation deadline of December 25, 2024—weeks before my injury even occurred. Their lack of empathy was disappointing, and given this experience, we would not return.

Superb + Anyone who doesn’t like this hotel will never be happy It’s divine The staff are lovely The rooms are fantastic The food is stunning The gym is good The rooftop pool area is great And the views over Wilderness beach are to die for One tiny constructive criticism - it’s not easy to order food and drinks on the pool deck I solved this by phoning the hotel but there must be a better way ;-) Aside from that the place is unimpeachable

A room with a spectacular view + If its a view your are after, you really cant beat this hotel. From the moment we walked in we felt important and our room was immaculate with views out on to the long sandy beach and a balcony to sit on and soak it all up. The room was large and nicely decorated. The whole Hotel was luxurious. we didn't take advantage of the Spa as there was lots we wanted to explore in the area, but the roof terrace and pool, though small, were lovely with great views. We regularly have paragliders floating past our window which was fun to watch. The breakfasts were great, with good selection, but we only ate once in the restaurant in the evening as the food was a little disappointing, but maybe we had been spoiled in the previous hotels we had stayed in. Overall, i would come back again.

Great location, great views, and fantastic staff. + The view over the beach from the hotel is stunning. Room overlooked the beach, with a balcony. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was nice with cold and Cooked options (the open breakfast sandwich was great.). We ate in the restaurant on two nights - good range dishes on the menu. The staff are outstanding and could not be more helpful. A fantastic stay.

Gorgeous hotel - disappointing restaurant + Stayed at this hotel for two nights on our Garden Route drive. We had two large suites. They were facing the sea/beach and beautifully decorated. The hotel was very quiet. The staff were incredibly friendly, polite and chatty. The restaurant has recently launched a new menu and, although the food is excellent, there are some improvements to be made in terms of the wait for food (at least 45 mins st breakfast) and the accuracy of orders (incorrect dishes served, items missing from meals or anchovies served when these were asked to be removed!) We ate at the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and had issues with all three meals despite there being no other/very few people in the restaurant when ordering on all three occasions. We saw the staff having daily meetings, however our experience clearly wasnt shared as the manager at breakfast proudly came over to hear all about our wonderful stay. Unfortunately we had to point out the issu…

2 night stay + Stayed in two sea facing rooms travelling the Garden route. Very easy to find and lovely greeting on arrival with a drink overlooking the bay. A quick tour was provided and we quickly settled in to the amazing rooms with a fantastic ocean view with dolphins and whales to watch. We had a walk in the stunning beach one morning and eat in the restaurant both nights. Food was excellent in price , quality and presentation as was the service. Parking very easy and staff helpful ( but avoid laundry service as it was crazy expensive ie £60 for one bag) and more expensive than a great meal for 4 with wine in the restaurant. Spa was ok but gym very small and open to non residents In summary highly recommended for a couple of nights stay. Hotel was very quiet but just coming into spring so not unexpected.

Great hotel in a superb location + This hotel is fantastic- it is ultramodern and the staff are exceptional. It's main asset is its location, right on a cliff overlooking the beach. There is a chance to see whales and dolphins and the sunsets are brilliant. Eating in the restaurant when to sun is going down is superb.

Amazing hotel, total luxury + The room we had here was amazing. Comfortable, modern, spotless and the view was insane. We saw whales breaching from our room!! Totally spoilt! I’d love to return one day. The food was incredible and staff were lovely

A fabulous beach-side break + What a lovely stay we had at this super-accommodating hotel. Great facilities, fabulous views and friendly, helpful staff.

Very comfortable hotel with great vista o along dandy beach + Great hotel with fantastic cliff top views along the beach. Comfortable and spacious rooms, good breakfast and friendly staff. Steps down to the beach and a beautiful 1 hour walk along a clean, sandy and deserted beach to Widerness village. Only stopping a 5 star is the lack of Ubers in the area so sometimes quite a wait to get to Wilderness for dinner etc

This is potentially a great hotel - unfortunately their gym’s aircon’s not working for weeks and no one seems to care. C + Gym’s aircon not working for weeks. It’s an enclosed area and seems whether management doesn’t care a lot to fix problem

Fantastic from start to finish + We had another incredible experience at The Views Spa in Wilderness and felt compelled to share just how special it always is for us ✨ From the moment we arrive, Nicky, the manager, makes us feel genuinely welcome. She consistently goes the extra mile to ensure every visit is seamless, relaxing, and memorable — her warmth and attention to detail truly set the tone for the whole experience 😊 Our treatments were, as always, outstanding. A huge thank you to Melita and Kiara, who take such great care of us every time. Their professionalism, skill, and friendly nature make it easy to completely unwind, and we always leave feeling refreshed, pampered, and well looked after 💆♂️💅 From the massage to the manicure and pedicure, and the finishing touches with our lash and brow tints, everything was done to perfection 🌿 Thank you again for making our day so special — we’re already looking forward to our next visit! 💙 Ruan & Gerhard

Hospitality at its best + Whoever is the General Manager of The Views Hotel has either been incredibly fortunate to inherit one of the finest hotel teams or possesses exceptional talent in assembling such a remarkable team. The quality and personal attention provided by every member of The Views team make you feel as if you are the only guests at the hotel—it truly feels that special. What stands out most is that this level of service isn’t just for show or sales; it’s genuine. Each team member takes real pride in making your visit unforgettable. From greeting you by name, asking about your walk along the stunning beach, to taking the time to get to know you personally, the service consistently goes above and beyond. The hotel itself, along with the rooms—we were fortunate to stay in a sea-facing suite—is exceptionally clean, thoughtfully designed, and fitted with high-quality touches throughout. It’s the little details that elevate the experience even further: the evening turndow…

Just outstanding + OMG !!! We had booked a sea view room and it did not disappoint. The view of the long beach & ocean is simply to die for, oh…….and the sound 😀 The hotel is fabulous. Bright, modern and lots of space, as is the room. The staff and service were absolutely first class, treated us as if we were the only couple staying. It’s ideally located perched right on the cliff edge and just a ten minute drive from Wilderness town. Wouldn’t hesitate recommending Views, thank you & well done to their great team of people.
