Highly recommend! Loved our stay! + Amazing hotel! They upgraded our room to the sea view and it was honestly amazing. Bathroom had been updated with an amazing shower and really comfortable beds. Cleaning staff were excellent everyday. We loved the breakfast, tonnes of choice. Pool and sunbeds were fab. Location was great. We got bolts anywhere when heading out for dinner and it was really cheap, about 5-6 euro. (Lido was a really nice area for restaurants) we rented a car through the hotel and it couldn’t have been easier, car was dropped to the hotel and we just left the keys back into reception and didn’t have to pay a deposit or additional charges. Very laid back and relaxed hotel and staff were excellent. We went as a young couple and really couldn’t recommend it more!

Bon établissement à Funchal + L'hotel a de bons équipements et il est d'une propreté remarquable. La literie est confortable. Nous avons apprécié pouvoir prendre le petit-déjeuner en terrasse. − L'hôtel aurait besoin d'un petit coup de frais car la déco (en particulier la salle de bain et la salle de restaurant) est vieillotte. Le petit-déjeuner manque aussi de variété, mais les produits proposés sont de bonne qualité.

Great Hotel + We stayed in two separate family rooms with a sea view. The hotel was fantastic. The staff were polite and helpful and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The location is a bit out of the main tourist areas and the nearest shop is a decent walk away, however the hotel offers a shuttle bus regularly into the centre which is a great idea. This needs to be booked in advance. The view from our room was amazing and even better at night when you can see all the lights on the hillside. The only negative was the room decor, I would say they need a refresh especially the bathroom however they are spotlessly clean and the maid service is great. The best part of the hotel is the buffet service at breakfast and dinner. The variety is really good and they change the menu every day for dinner. The restaurant staff work really hard and ensure that the tables are kept clean and tidy. A special mention to Sonia who was so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The omelettes at brea…

Great hotel, avoid room service food. + Room (sea view), staff, parking, breakfast and location. − Arrived late (9pm) and couldn't get any food without taking the set menu. Had the chicken from room service another night and it had been so overcooked you could not eat it and everything else on the plate was awful.

Thoroughly enjoyed a last minute week at this gorgeous place. + The view from the large balcony was beautiful. Our room was fantastic, large and roomy. Buffet style breakfast with plenty of choice. Also omelettes cooked fresh with your choice of ingredients. You need to be prepared that the hotel is atop some very steep hills. Although the courtesy bus is very good it stops around 6ish but taxis are very reasonable. The hotel is on many different levels so takes a while to get your bearings. Happy hour in the cocktail bar is excellent value, drinks half price. The staff were amazing, the bar staff in particular, especially Liliana, Carlos and Tiago, all great fun. − The evening buffet at 34 euros per head was, in my mind, extremely overpriced. We only used it once and there was no way it was value for money. The A La Carte restaurant was better value.
